Description[]
Stella's friend Willow is going to open a new all-organix café on Bird Island. No one is more excited than Chuck. He really, REALLY wants to help out! At first, nothing goes quite the way he intended. However, just as disaster is looming, his special talents come to the rescue![2]
Summary[]
The story begins with Chuck pacing around, becoming bored after finishing his to-do list for that day. It's then that he notices Willow and her friends working on a building. Willow's Healthy and Wholesome All-Organic Cafe is set to open the next day and Willow is woefully unprepared. Chuck, leaping at the opportunity to give assistance, offers to help Willow, who agrees. Chuck first tries to help Dahlia blend a smoothie, but causes the blender's contents to spill when he cranks it to fast. He next tries to help Stella test the drive through, which collapses on her. He then tries to help Poppy with her performance, only to break the instrument she was using. Chuck, desperate to help in some fashion, comes across an unfinished sign that needed painting. Unfortunately for Chuck, the reason it was unfinished was because the paint was trying, and the sign is rendered a mess. Everyone, sick of Chuck's haste, tell him he needs to take things slow, and shoo him away.
In spite of Chuck's borderline sabotage, Willow and her friends are able finish work on the cafe. The group has a new problem to contend with, however, in the form of overblown demand. There are too many customers ordering at once, ingredients are running out, plates aren't being washed fast enough, and people are beginning to complain. Chuck, seeing an opportunity to redeem himself, speeds around the island to get ingredients, and is about to run into the kitchen before remembering what Willow and her friends told him about taking it slow. Even working at half his usual speed, Chuck is still able to clean all the dishes and deliver food faster than most people can notice, saving the cafe's grand opening. Willow and the other workers are very grateful for Chuck's help, and even hire him to work a delivery service, which Chuck is more than happy about.
