Summary[]
The book starts with Red, Bomb, and Chuck at a picnic. Chuck surprises everyone with incredibly delicious-looking organic worms. This gets Bomb so happy that he quite literally explodes with excitement, burning the organic worms to crisps. Red and Chuck assure Bomb that it's alright, and that they can just get more worms later. Bomb, however, thinks that his exploding has gotten out of hand, and consults Dr. Wingstein, who tells Bomb he needs to try and be less emotional, giving him a list of activities to try out.
The first activity Bomb tries out is jogging. Unfortunately for Bomb, Chuck notices him jogging and asks to join in. Bomb finds himself unable to refuse, and soon finds himself running at top speeds in a futile attempt to keep up with Chuck. By the time he catches up with him, Chuck has already finished jogging.
Bomb then tries dancing lessons at Stella's dance studio, being accompanied by Chuck once again. While Chuck is showing off his dancing skills, he ends up crashing into a wall, getting stuck. When Bomb tries to pull him out, he explodes once again from the stress. This ends up being a good thing, however, as the explosion frees Chuck from the wall. Everyone begins clapping for Bomb, and he realizes that exploding isn't such a bad thing after all. He and Chuck leave to go get some organic worms.
