'Angry Birds Opera' was an alternate version of Angry Birds designed for use with the Opera web browser. The game was released on the version 12 alpha of Opera Next on October 13, 2011. The game was located on opera.angrybirds.com telling from the images.

The game was announced via The Register on October 11, 2011, as one of the games showcased for Opera's WebGL hardware acceleration, and was meant to be available two days later on October 13, 2011.[2] The game closed its servers one day later on October 14, 2011.[citation needed]

  • The domain opera.angrybirds.com seems to be co-owned by Rovio and Opera seeing that this game was meant to be played in Opera browsers only.
  • Some assets of the game, including the loading screen, can be found in Angry Birds Google+, although it can be found in the files of Angry Birds Volcano.
