• The regular cover of the issue contains promotional artwork for Angry Birds Go!
• The subscriber version cover of the issue features Popeye the Sailor and J. Wellington Wimpy as cameo characters.

Cultural references

• "The Eagle of Troy" is a parody of the Trojan Horse.
• Piggyland is a known parody of Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and their attractions:
  • One pig can be seen wearing a mouse costume, likely referencing Mickey Mouse.
  • The first area of the dark ride features animatronic pigs in international costumes, much like It's a Small World. The ride also has its own theme song parodying the theme song of the latter.
  • The jungle-themed area of the ride is heavily based on Jungle Cruise, complete with animatronic animals.
  • The pirate-themed section of the ride is a parody of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and the song that plays is similar to "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)".
  • The Flock rides on a spinning tea cup ride based on Mad Tea Party.
  • One exhibit features an animatronic pig version of Abraham Lincoln, likely a parody of The Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom.
  • Another area features animatronic pigs playing country music in a restaurant, likely based on The Country Bear Jamboree.
  • The end of the comic features a wooden monorail based on the Walt Disney World Monorail System.
• The title of the story "Let it Bee" is a play on the words "bee" and "let it be", the latter being the name of a song and album by The Beatles.

Errors

• In "The Eagle of Troy," Terence's name is misspelled as "Terrance".
