Angry Birds Merge was a game proposal by artist Edgar Payan Mesalles to Rovio Entertainment around 2019. Not much is known about the game, but what is known is that it was supposed to be a new type of casual vertical mobile game where it was a hybrid between a tycoon game (like Rollercoaster Tycoon 3), a merging game (like Chicken Evolution) and a card game (like Heartstone). The game would have also incorporated an arena mode where your upgraded birds would fight other player's birds for rewards.

ArtStation Description[]

"These images are from a game proposal to Rovio which I made during my time in The Breach Studios. We worked on casual mobile games and tried to work with Rovio in a new Angry Birds game. The thing did not go well but I enjoyed working on such proposal and drawing the crazy birds. All rights of Angry Birds franchise belong to Rovio."

Trivia[]

  • The concept art uses the Gem design from Angry Birds 2, meaning this pitch was carried out through 2015–2019.
