The episode starts with Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Stella fishing in a boat as Mighty Eagle sleeps. Chuck eats worms from the bait bucket, and Red remarks that Camp Splinterwood is the best place in all time ever because it has "awesome everything". Chuck lists trampolines, ziplines, slides, buildings a flag pole, grass, trees, air, water, his right wing, and the sling rod in his right wing. Stella adds that they also have the "best worst counselor ever", Mighty Eagle. Bomb remarks that it is the perfect summer, but Red states that the one "un-awesome" thing about the summer is the food. Stella remarks that Brenda has been very checked-out lately.
The scene cuts to Brenda placing a blue, frozen casserole on Stella's tray in the dining hall. Stella asks if the food was supposed to be defrosted. Brenda remarks that it's a new recipe called "I'm-Not-Your-Mom casserole". Bomb asks Red if it would been the perfect summer if the food were awesome. Bomb gets pushed into the lake by a fishing lure and explodes underwater. Fish sticks somehow rise from the lake's surface. Red asks if the objects that had risen from the water were indeed fish sticks, but is interrupted by Chuck and Stella enjoying them. Stella remarks the fish sticks are the "fish stickiest fish sticks that ever fish sticked!". Red eats a fish stick and is amazed by it. Red tells Bomb he gave them a chance at a "perfect summer". Stella, Chuck, Red, and Bomb fish out the fish sticks using nets. One fish stick mysteriously sinks.
The campers devour their plates of fish sticks in the dining hall. Red states that everyone loves them, including Brenda. Stella remarks that Brenda looks happy. Brenda smiles, and Red says that it's oddly unsettling. Bomb remarks the everyone loves his sticks, and Brenda gives him her responsibility of serving meals and her hat. Bomb states that he just wanted to give the campers a nice lunch, and Brenda asks them what they want for dinner. The campers reply by shouting "Fish Sticks!" Red states that they're going to have a perfect summer thanks to Bomb. Bomb blushes and remarks that his fish sticks can't be "that good".
The scene cuts to the Campers playing as they eat fish sticks. Neiderflyer complements the fish sticks, and he and Red jinx each other on a seesaw. They run off as they hold hands. Bomb jumps off the boat with Mighty Eagle still sleeping in it and explodes more fish sticks. One fish stick sinks into the lake. Terence growls at a purple bird, and the bird gives him the fish stick. Terence eats the fish stick and smiles. Bomb throws fish sticks from a bucket to a crowd of campers in the cafeteria. Brenda bounces off of the trampolines and shouts that she's never going to cook again. Lynette remarks that she now tolerates the camp due to the fish sticks, and Harold feeds her one from atop her head. Harold tells Bomb to keep making more fish sticks.
Bomb explodes more fish sticks and climbs into the boat. All of the fish sticks sink into the lake as Bomb gets his net. Bomb struggles to grab a fish stick, and his net breaks. Bomb looks at the bottom of his boat, sees an aquatic monster, and explodes himself to the shore. The fish monster sucks up all of the remaking fish sticks and descends into the lake. Bomb tells the fish monster that he's going to announce to the campers that there's isn't going to be anymore fish sticks. Red and Neiderflyer remark that they would've been fighting if it weren't for the fish sticks as they play hatchling tether ball. Harold tells Lynette how he loves her and Lynette tells him that she tolerates his presence while riding a multi-person bike. Stella and Chuck show their love for Bomb's fish sticks and say their lives were "meaningless" before them. The bike zooms to be seemingly endless.
Bomb tells himself that he's going to tell the campers that there will be no more fish sticks, but Brenda stops him. Bomb asks Brenda what they're going to do and explains that a monster has been eating all of the fish sticks. Brenda tells Bomb that she has seen everything and that they will have to get rid of the lake monster. Brenda asks if Bomb is in with the plan and shouts "Fish Sticks! Fish Sticks! Fish Sticks! Fish Sticks! Fish Sticks!" Bomb asks if Brenda even know how to take on a monster, and Brenda remarks that she "takes on hundreds of little monsters with every meal." Brenda suits herself with oven mittens, a strainer as a hat, and a metal baking tray tied on her chest via rope. Bomb asks if Brenda looks cooler than him when they're on a boat. Brenda states that they're going to lure it in using bait. Bomb asks where are they going to find bait and is pushed into the lake with a frying pan. Bomb explodes in the water, causing fish sticks to rise to the surface. Bomb remarks that he didn't find any bait and swims away from the monster. Bomb stops swimming, and the monster eats the fish sticks. The monster burps and blows water out of its blow hole. Bomb realizes that the monster is innocent and just loves his fish sticks. Bomb reaches out to touch the monster, but Brenda hits it with her frying pan. Brenda tells Bomb to destroy the monster, and he is swallowed by it. The monster growls at Brenda and she realizes her mistake.
The scene cuts to the campers banging the tables with their fists while shouting "Fish sticks!" in the dining hall. Neiderflyer asks Chuck, Stella, and Red where the food is. Chuck replies that Bomb probably has a good excuse for being late. Terence bangs the table so hard that campers literally fly in the air. Red hopes that Bomb is okay. Bomb is about to eat his "last fish stick" while inside the monster's body, but he hears Brenda screaming. The monster beats up Brenda with its tentacle while it holds her. Brenda tells Bomb that he needs to destroy the monster, but Bomb says that he might be a nice monster. Brenda remarks that the monster hasn't been "nice" to her.
The campers are still banging their tables and shouting "Fish Sticks" in the dining room. Neiderflyer hopes that Bomb was eaten by a lake monster or else he is going to turn Bomb into fish sticks. Neiderflyer joins the mob and shouts "Fish sticks". The mob busts open the dining hall door and marches towards the lake. Bomb comes up with the idea of the monster and the camp sharing the fish sticks. Brenda rhetorically asks Bomb if the monster would actually share the fish sticks with them. The monsters uvula start's swaying and reaches and helps splits the fish sticks into 2 piles and touching his head and Bomb replies with "maybe". The fish sticks and Bomb are blown out of the monsters blow hole. And The fish sticks fall onto the campers' plates after Bomb and Brenda fall on the beach. The campers are disgusted by the fish sticks because they are covered in lake monster fluids and throw them on the ground. Chuck devours his plate of fish sticks whole, including the plate. Stella asks what they're going to eat now.
The scene cuts to Brenda scooping brown mush on campers' plates. Stella tells Brenda that she's glad that Brenda's back. Red says that there is "nothing like a brush of death to make you appreciate the important things in life", and Brenda remarks that that incudes rediscovering her "passion" for cooking. Red remarks that he had never heard Brenda say the word "passion" before. Chuck states that he's glad that everything is back to normal in camp Splinterwood. Red states his disgust with the fact he held hands with Neiderflyer. Bomb remarks that there is such a thing as "too much perfection," and Stella states that they're going to have a normal summer from now on. Mighty Eagle wakes up and states his cravings for fish sticks. Mighty Eagle is about to eat a fish stick, but is blown into the lake. The episode ends with the lake monster apologizing.
