Grapple is an Autobird in Angry Birds Transformers.
Appearance[]
Grapple is based on his Generation 1 counterpart, though the blue color scheme seems to be loosely based on his Marvel Comics appearance. He is a recolor and slight retool of Ironhide, with a new crane replacing the ladder on his back, as well as a cowl behind his head.
Personality[]
Generally speaking, Bomb is the chillest bird you will ever meet. However, get him worked up and he has a tendency to go off! On Cybertron, Grapple was quite the architect and in his spark an artist.
During the war his 'art' his art was demolished! This is when he blew his fuse and joined the war effort with the Autobirds! Here he befriended Hoist who tends to calm his artistic temperament down.

Grapple can be unlocked either through Challenge Events for 10,000 Tokens, purchasing his bundle for 2,000 Gems, or from Gold Crates. During gameplay, Grapple's weapon is based on his name: it fires a laser beam that grapples onto whatever blocks or pigs the player taps on. The grappling beam isn't very powerful, even at max level. To efficiently use the weapon, the player can swipe on the screen with a grappled object, like a block.

- With the addition of Grapple, any characters using Heatwave's body type would have Grapple's signature crane on their back, specifically on level 9. This model glitch can be fixed by upgrading said characters to level 10.
- Though clearly based on his Generation 1 counterpart, Grapple's blue coloration could also be based on Armada Smokescreen, who also shares Grapple's characteristics, such as a yellow and blue color scheme, a liking to building structures, a crane truck alt mode, as well as his Japanese name Grap (short for Grapple).
