The episode starts with Red, Chuck, Stella, and Bomb walking. Red asks "You guys feel that?", and Bomb states that he haven't applied enough sunscreen. Red replies by stating that they're "Best Friends Summer Camp Adventure day". Red remarks that he can feel something in the air, and Chucks asks if he meant "a flying dinghy full of pirates". Stella is confused and remarks "Some birds woke up on the weird side of the bed this morning.". Chuck states that he slept under his bed last night. A pirate ship crashes into the ground. Red asks who the strangers who just fell out of the sky are. Harold shouts out "Pirates!". The pirates get up and dusts them selves. Marvin the intern walks forward, and Lynette enters the scene. Stella says that she didn't see this coming, and Chuck remarks that he did . A pirate greets everyone, and Harold recognizes the voice to from his uncle Carl. Carl remarks "That's Captain Uncle Carl to ye now!". Lynette realizes that Harold and Carl are family, and leaves the camp until Monday. Red asks what is happening and Carl is shocked that Harold has never talked about his family's secret pirate past. Stella asks if she is the only one who doesn't know what Carl is saying. Harold tries to stop Carl from telling the story. Carl asks why Harold is embarrassed that their family has descended from the famous pirate "Blue Beak". Carl states that Blue Beak used the Camp Splinterwood's grounds as a secret pirate hideout. Stella asks if there is a translator, or can they get subtitles. Carl states that he's embraced his pirate heritage and formed a crew. The pirates start to "Arr", and the unnamed orange pirate hits himself. Marvin growls and puts on a sailors hat. He explains that they work with Carl at the slingshot dealership. Marvin, Barbara. Carl interrupts the introductions, and announces that they're here to smash down Camp Splinterwood. Every non-pirate gasps. Bomb stutters and asks why Carl would do such actions. Carl responds via stating that he hates this place, and the fact he's having a midlife crisis. Bomb replies with "that makes sense", and Stella remarks "'Cause if there's one thing everyone knows about pirates...". Chuck rudely interrupts Stella by asking if they have wooden peg butts, and points to his butt. Stella states that pirates are super "smashy", and apparently really hard to understand. Red claims the Harold will never to let him smash the camp because of his love for it, only for Harold to run away. Carl remarks that it's like taking candy from a Hatchling. He orders the pirate crew to ready to smashy cannon. Red yells "not so fast", and Carl mocks him. Red states that he is indeed trying to stop Carl, and doesn't appreciate his tone.
An unnamed female orange pirate is launched at a cabin, causing it to explode. Mighty Eagle is somehow manages to be still sleeping. and continues to snore on the green couch. Chuck mourns the lost of his thousand-piece puzzle that he just finished in the broken. Bomb asks what they're going to do, and Red comes up with the idea of running. Red, Stella, Chuck, Bomb, and 2 other campers run away from a cabin before it gets smashed by an incoming pirate. Carl remarks that they're as yellow-bellied as Harold, and tells his crew to level the camp. Carl and his pirate crew cheers.
The scene cuts to the campers preparing to fight the pirates in the Borb Tennis court, with most inside of inflatable bubbles. Red is about to have a speech, but Stella interrupts him for time purposes. Red tells the camps to pretend he said something inspirational, and commands them to fight. Bomb pushes Stella and other campers in front of the paddle to launch them at the pirates. A camper hits a pirate cannon, causing the pirate to be launched straight into the sky instead. Chuck tries to hit Carl, but hits Marvin instead. Carl commands Barbra to find Red. Barbra launches herself at the campers. Bomb moves Red's borb in front of the paddle. Red says "Let's serve these pirates up a can of Splinterwood Surprise!". Barbra verbally emits the words "Surprise", and hits Red's borb. Red bounces into Harold's house. Harold greets Red, and Red responds with news of what happened outside. Red tells Harold the they need his help, and Harold to stand up to his uncle. Harold responds with a "no", and states that his uncle is terrifying. He also adds that there's no way he can out-pirate Carl. Harold states that Pirates are "smashy and breaky", and he isn't. Harold repairs his house with wooden planks. Red tells Harold if Carl destroys the camp, Red and his friends will never see each other gain. Chuck crashes through the wall, and says hi to Red, before making a Cuck-shaped hole in Harold's house. Red tells Harold that the other campers will never see their friends again, and he will ruin childhoods. Red asks if Harold want the scenario he told him about on his conscience. Harold removes the Dodgebird photo from his wall, and Red tells him that there's no time for another story about Harold's Dodgebird glory days. Harold states he meant something else, and removes a map from the back of the photo. Harold tells about Blue Beak's secret pirate stash is hidden in the tunnels under the camp. Red grabs the map. Red is shocked that Harold has a treasure map this entire time, and never looked for it. Harold states that the map specifically says that the secret stash to only in the event of a hostile pirate takeover. Harold tells Red the map is full of puzzle and traps. The, Harold states that he's not very "piratey". Red remarks that 4 birds are "piratey" enough of the challenge, if it means to save Camp Splinterwood.
The episode cuts the near the Dining hall, where the campers, and pirates are fighting. Bomb launches his cake from The Big Bird Bakeoff, a small ladder and a skateboard the pirates via catapult. Stella catapults a canvas, and Neiderflyer talks about the fact that the pirates had the audacity of to smash his cabin. Stella remarks that the pirates are "smashy pirates", and they're trying to smash the whole camp. Neideflyer says "But they smashed my cabin", and catapults an accordion at the pirates. Red enters the Dining hall, and is almost hit by said according. Bomb states that half the camp is smashed, and that they're out of snacks. Chuck claims that at this rate of destruction, Penley gives them 4 1/2 meatballs before Carl destroys the camp. Red tells them that's it's never going to happen, and Bomb eats a meatball. Red states that the treasure map he's holding in his hand leads to what they need to save the camp. Neiderflyer rudely grabs the map after hearing the word treasure. Red tells Neiderflyer that he would miss out the chance to lead the resistance at the camp, and be a hero. Neiderflyer agrees and his friend group becomes confused. The unnamed purple bird asks "Seriously?", and Neiderflyer responds with "It's my camp too".
Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Stella find themselves that the basketbird court. Chuck remarks that it would be funny if it was under their beaks the whole time. Red reads "Ye who seek to go below, must best Blue Beak at Yo-ho Tac Toe". Bomb asks what if Yo-ho Tac Toe is. Red realizes the entrance is under the court, and states that "Yo-ho Tac Toe" is pirate Tic Tac Toe with Skulls for O's and crossbones for X's. Red rhetorically asks what X does, and Chuck asks if they have wooden peg butts. Red and Stella shout "Marks the spot!". Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Stella bounce to the emergence that conveniently opens for them. Bomb gets stuck and Chuck pushes them into the hole. They all crash at the bottom. Red states that this is the first out of the four obstacles according to them map. Stella tells Red to hurry up. The map reads "Now you path be blocked by stone. Move it wrong, I'll crush your bones. And don't forget me first mate Peg. He could always use a leg". Bomb states that there's got to be some trick to moving the slab. Stella claims that they have to smash their way through the pirate puzzle. Stella loads herself into the cannon, and Bomb opposes the idea. Stella shout "Bombs away!" and waves her fingers at Bomb. Bomb realizes that she mean it literally, and moves out of the way. Stella launches herself at the stone slab, and manages to move it slightly. Stella shouts that they should do it again. The slab somehow moves back in place and rocks fall from the celling. Chuck remarks "Not that anyone asked, but that's a no for me.". Red shouts that it's caving in, and everyone dodges the debris. Bomb is push towards "Peg' by some rocks. Bomb read the paper taped to Peg's ribcage as "Ahoy, my name is Peg", and notices his lack of right leg. Bomb notices that Peg is a Peg leg, and places the peg on a nearby rock. The slab rolls away, and the four enter the hole.
The campers runs out of stuff to catapult at the pirates, and Matilda catapults the Hatchlings. An orange pirate crashes into the wall, and they use him as ammo. Barbra and an eye-patched blue pirate demolishes the big slide, and Neideflyer mourns it's lost. Penely moves his meatball abacus and Brenda looses all hope. Neideflyer tries to desert, and Brenda thinks he meant "Cover ourselves with pudding and fight to death". Neiderflyer states that he meant "leave and join the pirates". Matilda asks Neiderflyer what happened to, 'It's my camp too. I would literally do anything for this place". Neiderflyer remarks that he's never been a fan of being on the loosing team. Neiderflyer then leaves with his friend group.
Chuck shouts how cool the previous events that happened to them were. Red remarks that he's a big a big fan of getting not crushed, and says that Bomb saved their butts. Red, Bomb, Stella, and Chuck almost fall. Stella notices another cannon. Red tells Stella that they shouldn't fling themselves at every challenge they see. Bomb notices how deep the pit is, and Red thinks he said it about his lecture. Bomb asks how the 4 of them will get across. The red reads the words "The other side of this trench be far. If you want to cross, play a chanty bar.", and notices some symbols on the map. Red asks what chantey bar is, and Chuck asks if it has anything to do with peg butts. Bomb, Red, and Stella shout "NO".
The pirates smash the Dining hall's windows, and Barbra remarks that they can call her "Borbra" from now on. Carl states he won't do it, and tells her to focus on the smashing. He states that there's a few more building to bring down, and they're done. Neiderflyer greets Carl, and Carl asks why Neiderflyer isn't cowering or defending his camp. Neidetflyer states that he never lives the camp, and offers his services. Carl tells Neiderflyer that his crew doesn't need lubbers. Neiderflyer asks Carl if he could help him more than smash the camp to rubble. Carl states there's nothing Neiderflyer could do for him. Neidrflyer asks if Blue Beak's stash is valuable for Carl. Carl states that he had peaked his interest.
Bomb realizes that a chanty bar has Carmel, peanuts, nougat and other stuff. Red interrupts Bomb before he could list any more ingredients, and states that Bomb was describing a candy bar. Stella notices the symbols and the giant accordion. Then, she grabs the map, and states that the symbols are supposed by a song. Red asks how Stella knows that information. Stella states that she's a world ranked accordionist, and had been taking lessons since she was a Hatchling. Stella claimed that she never mentioned it because accordion. Stella is shocked that Red finds talent awesome. The celling rumbles, and Stella tells Cuck to get into the cannon. Stella aims the cannon at the skull and fires it to play a "Skull sharp". The accordion plays a low note, and Chuck flies back into the cannon.A platform rises from the ravine. The cannon fires at the symbols containing cannon, skull sharp sword and poop emoji. Stella questions why there is a "Poop emoji" option. two other platforms rise as the accordion plays. Red, Chuck, Stella, and Bomb bounces on the platforms to the other side.
The pirates successfully destroy the Dining hall. The Hatchlings, Penley, Brenda, and Matilda run out of the cafeteria. Brenda accepts the fate of the camp being toast, but Matilda notices that the restroom is the only building left. Brenda states that she'd rather take her chances outside.
Neiderflyer & his friends notices the hole in the basketbird court, and plans to take the treasure under the 4 protagonists' beaks. They all laugh before diving into the hole.
Red reads "So many holes. What should ye do? Nothing but skill well let ye through.". Bomb states that they have to figure out what skills will help with the holes. Stella suggests cannon skills, and Red suggests sports skills, then asks if they have a ball. Chuck shouts the word "Butt" between everyone's sentences, and Red thinks he's saying "but". Chuck states that he needs to stick his butt in all the holes to solve the puzzle. Red asks if it's a cooking thing, and Bomb asks it means making sandwiches. Red asks if they could cook with holes, and Re, Bomb, and Stella ramble. Chuck sticks his butt in all the holes. until he stick it into the opening. Stella picks up Chuck, and states she will never doubt his butt ever again. Red states that's there's one more challenge to go, and everyone enters the 4th challenge. Red reads "Ye made it to me final test. It be way harder than all the rest. I you're here, ye think me the ye smash, but can ye think enough to reach me stash?"
Neiderflyer and his friends bounces their way across the ravine. The green bird with the blond hair bounces off the abyss.
Red scans the challenge, and calculates a way to compete it. Neiderflyer & co walk thought the hole puzzle. Chuck states they lost Red, and should stick their butts into things. Red states that they've been training for this the entire summer. Stella states that they've been goofing off and having fun. Red tells them to get into the cannon.Red shouts "For Spliterwood!". Red, Chuck, and Stella are shot out of the cannon. Red grabs onto the rope, Bomb and Stella bounce oof the trampolines, and Cuck bounces off the springs. Red breaks a target, causing an anchor to fall, and fling Chuck into the crows nest. The crow's nest causes a trampoline to form. Stella bounces off the trampoline and beaks a net with Bomb. Red gets to a lever, and Bomb & Stella bounce onto zipline. Red pulls a lever that pushes him to ziplines, and he grabs Chuck. Everyone Ziplines into a Tunnel that leads to a rock, that pushes them into the water. red shouts "Awsomest Best Summer camp Friends Adventure ever!", and everyone cheers. Red notices that the pirate treasure was a pirate ship. Stella realizes they could use to ship to stop Carl and his coworkers. Neiderflyer and his friends slide down a rope to the ship. Red asks why Neideflyer is there, and not defending the camp. Red gets onto the ship and argues with Neiderflyer. Bomb tells them to stop, and Neiderflyer shouts "Boo!". This statles Bomb explodes. The explosion creates a whirlpool, yet not damages the ship. Neiderflyer asks Red if he wants to stop Neiderflyer "save the camp", or save his friends. Red saves Chuck, Stella, and Bomb. Neiderflyer sails away, and Red doesn't know how to beat the pirates now.
Carl admits that Neiderflyer could be useful, and orders everyone to level Camp Splinterwood into smithereens. Matilda asks if it is over, and Brenda checks outside. Brenda announces the incoming pirates, and Peneley eats his meatballs. Matilda huddles closely with the Hatchlings. Carl tells the campers to admit defeat. Bomb states that it mean that there's no more camp. Chuck says that he never got to tell them that he loves them. Bomb reminds Chuck the he does that all the time, and Chuck cries that he's such a good friend. Chuck blows his nose into Bomb's chest. Red states if it is going to be their last day at camp, at least he got to spend it with his 3 best friends on the "best adventure ever". Red tells Chuck, Stella, and Bomb that he's going to miss them, and hugs the 3. Red adds that he's still going to rip on her for being an accordion player. Neiderflyer claps, and carl starts the cannons. Harold interrupts his uncle, and tries to defend the camp. Carl states that he had already won, but Harold denies it. carl states that Harold isn't a Smashy pirate, and the pirate crew laughs. Harold remarks that he's more of a "fixy pirate", and straps o his peg butt". Harold shows his peg butt to his uncle. Chuck is amazed by Harold's butt. Carl asks what the peg is going to do against he and his crew. Harold states that he made it out the ship. The ship sinks, and the protagonist cheer. Carl struggles to swim Harold tells Carl, his uncle to grab his "life-butt". Carl grabs his nephew's butt, and reaches shore. Carl hugs his nephew after realizing Harold saved his life. Red guesses that the camp won.
The episode cuts to the campers, and pirates on the shore. Carl tells Harold that he had earn his respect by not only saving his life, but also out-pirating him using his head. Harold adds that he had also used his butt. Chuck compliments Harold's peg butt, by stating how "magnificent" it was. Carl apologizes to Harold, and states that he was wrong about the camp. Carl informs everyone that he and huis coworkers were thinking about signing up for the camp. Red states that they have an excellent water safety program at camp. Carl says that knows how special the camp is after destroying it, and offers to rebuild it. carl and Harold shake hands, and everyone cheers, except for Brenda. Stella remarks that she still can't understand what Carl is saying. Red tells Stella it was about rebuilding camp. Red mentions Stella's accordion thing. The episode ends with Red, Chuck, and Bomb staring at Stella.

- Bomb's cake from "The Big Bird Bake Off" makes a cameo wile the camp is retaliating against the pirates inside of the cabin.
- Marvin reuses the rig used for the construction workers in "Bomb's Away!", the eye patched pirate reuses a rig from a bird camper, the pirate with glasses reuses the dad bird rig from "Cabin Raid", and the orange pirate reused the mom bird rig from the same episode.
