Catching The Blues is the tenth episode of the third season of Angry Birds Toons and the eighty-eighth overall. It premiered on December 11, 2015.

Toons.TV Description[]

Mustache Pig seizes the perfect opportunity to catch that one blue bird. There's no escaping now!

The episode starts with one of the Blues on a cliff sitting in a chair reading a comic book. Then, Foreman Pig is seen on a tall rock, spying on the Blue. He then sees the eggs, followed up by consulting his blueprint of a trap to catch the Blues. He speeds down the rock and begins constructs it. Alerted by the noise made by the construction, the Blue calls out his brothers (who were playing in the tree) who then see Foreman Pig's constructing and disguising the trap. The other Blues become angry at the Foreman but when the first Blue whispers his plan to them, they agree and hide in the bushes.

Soon after the trap is complete Foreman Pig uses a trail of birdseed to lure the Blue reading the comic, then hides. The Blue spots the seeds and eats the trail. At the end of the trail after the Blue is under the trap Foreman Pig pushes a button and traps him, but leaves the remote behind. Then, another one of the Blues comes and frees the trapped Blue, who is unharmed. Foreman Pig then comes to steal the eggs but sees the supposedly trapped Blue sitting in his deck chair. Confused, Foreman Pig goes back to check his trap to find it empty.

Improving on the trap, Foreman Pig makes sure that the trapped Blue will not be freed again. Repeating the procedure, he goes back to the eggs to find the trapped Blue waiting for him. Seeing that the trapped failed again, he whines loudly that it can be heard all over the island.

Foreman Pig uses a metal safe for his trap and repeats the trapping process. This time when he returns to the eggs, the Blue isn't in the chair. Foreman proceeds to steal the eggs. Suddenly, the Blues pop out from behind the eggs, which were actually just cardboard cutouts. The middle Blue pushes a button and a trap falls on Foreman. The Blues throw him back to Pig City via slingshot. He hits the castle and it collapses. The episode ends with the Blues cheering.

  • This is the second episode that shows the entirety of Piggy Island. The first was Crash Test Piggies.
  • This is the third time Foreman Pig attempted to steal the eggs himself. The first time was in Operation Opera, and the second time was in Chuck Mania.
  • This is the first time a main pig appears without Minion Pigs.
  • Epic Sax Pig makes a cameo on the front of the magazine that Jim is reading.
  • When Jim sees the seed he says "Yum".
  • When Foreman Pig comes back to the lawn chair and sees the blue still there, he says "Huh?" And the blue says "Hey, hey".

  • On the DVD version on this episode, the captions at the beginning mistake one of The Blues as Matilda laughing.
