Crossbones is a zombie parrot that belongs to Captain Badburger. He's just as prone to violence as his captain, but is easily bribed with food.
Appearance[]
He has a long beak with sharp teeth, and one eyeball missing from the right side of his head. He has red feathers on his head, black feathers on his body, white for his underbelly, and green head and tail feathers, and large, rectangular eyebrows. During Badburger's story in Angry Birds Magazine Issue 3, Crossbones appears to still be alive, having both of his eyes.
Personality[]
Crossbones is a very clever parrot, using his mimicry whenever he deems it necessary (such as Chuck's sneezing). Though he only ever copies what he himself hears, and is unable to speak on his own outside of croaking. He enjoys eating eyeballs, and is willing to eat them out of the eye socket of a living creature, but enjoys Badburger's pickled onions even more. He is also highly disloyal, only serving whoever feeds him better.

Angry Birds Magazine Issue 3[]
When a sleepy Minion Pig takes a nap in a boat, Crossbones appears and begins mimicking the Minion. When the other pigs find him, they untie the rope from it's post, causing Crossbones and the Minion to drift off. When the boat returns years later, Crossbones, now decomposing, is still onboard. Crossbones appears in the former section in a living state, having both of his eyeballs. It's unclear if he was already owned by Captain Badburger while he was alive.
Angry Birds: Captain Badburger[]
Crossbones serves as Captain Badburger's eyes and ears, as well as his closest companion. But after Stella fed him pickled onions, a substitute for eyeballs, he became an ally to both Stella and Chuck. After almost having their cover blown hiding in a chest due to Chuck's sneezing, Crossbones mimicked it to throw off Badburger's suspicion.
Now good friends with Stella, he helps her deliver a message to The Flock members at Cobalt Plataeu to warn them of Badburger's ambush in exchange for more pickled unions. He goes to warn the Flock, shrieking "Pirates ahoy!", making the Flock aware of the zombie pirate's presence. When he tries to warn Bomb of Captain Bigbeard's sneak attack, however, it only confuses Bomb, allowing Bigbeard to make off with The Eggs.
Relationships[]
Captain Badburger[]
Captain Badburger considers Crossbones to be the closest thing he has to a friend, but the feelings appear to be one-sided. Crossbones begins acting against Badburger the moment Stella starts bribing him with better food. Crossbones goes as far as to give away Badburger's two-week long plan to steal The Flock's Eggs all in exchange for pickled onions. It's never made clear if Badburger finds out about Crossbones' betrayal.
Stella and Chuck[]
While Crossbones was more than willing to rip Stella's eyes out when they met, she's able to win him over by giving him some of Badburger's pickled onions. Crossbones remains fiercely loyal to the duo for the rest of the story, but still requires the occasional bribe to keep his favor.
The Flock[]
When Crossbones comes to warn The Flock of Badburger's advances into their territory, they mistake him for a sad creature who escaped Badburger's captivity. Crossbones gets frustrated with Bomb when the chaos of the ensuing fight causes him to misunderstand Crossbones' warnings, causing Crossbones to recite some insults to him.
