Danger Above is the third episode of the original Angry Birds. It contains three parts, known as "themes", with 15 levels each, totalling 45 levels. It was released in three parts throughout the second quarter of 2010. Danger Above is notable for introducing Hal, the first new character after Poached Eggs, and a new gimmick, balloons. It also was the first chapter to have 15 levels for each theme, most episodes would have 15 or a multiple of 15 levels since then.
Following the events of the previous chapter, Mighty Hoax, the pigs come up with a new technology to steal the Angry Birds' eggs: balloons. With Red expecting another ground assault, the pigs catch the birds by surprise when they put the eggs on a bucket and carry it with them on a blanket with a balloon on each tip.[1]Chuck notices the pigs floating away, and the birds immediately give chase to them.
The Angry Birds soon end up in a forest. In this region, they find a new bird, named Hal, trapped in a pig cage, and free him. The flock, now with a new member, continues their pursuit, ending up in a city and then in a sky-like region, where they eventually find King Pig with the eggs and beat him up. The birds celebrate another victory while an injured King Pig floats away with a balloon.
Episode icon as of 1.3.0, it was only kept for a single update.

Trivia[]
Before the episode cards were changed to the PC ones in the Surf and Turf update, Danger Above's episode card was tinted blue. However, in 1.3.0, it was tinted purple.
As of the 3.0.0 update, the forest background is extremely different to the old one, mainly with how the trees are formed.
This is the only chapter that has the pigs shown above in the intro cutscene.
This is the only chapter in which Chuck has a "!?" symbol above his head, rather than a "#" symbol when he looks at the pigs above in the cutscenes.
In the original cutscenes before version 2.0.0, the green balloon when Corporal Pig gets defeated is pink.
