Danger Zone is the thirty-eighth episode of Angry Birds Reloaded which was released on November 14, 2024. It is now a Mirror Worlds exclusive episode, and is the final episode of the Angry Birds Space remakes.

Story[]

Beginning[]

Flying through the Mirror Worlds, Super Red looks into Danger Zone on his super-vision goggles. Noticing several Space Pigs floating around it, he also finds Hektor Porko, flying towards the giant naval mine in the distance. It is then revealed that he and Leonard have been stealing Eggsteroids to create wormholes to rule the galaxy from with a machine meant to do so, and with the eggs as celebratory food. The Flock flies into Danger Zone for one last battle against the Space Pigs.

Ending[]

After destroying the armada of Spacecraft Pigs, breaking the wormhole machine to the point of taking everything back to Earth, and then back into the center of the naval mine, the Flock finally destroys the UFO Hektor Porko and Leonard piloted. The eggs are rescued, and Ice Bird's Eggsteroid is saved as well. The naval mine self-destructs, with Leonard and Hektor Porko laughing in an escape pod that warns about the return of the Space Pigs. The Flock flies back to celebrate their major victory over the Space Pigs while Ice Bird leaves to return the Eggsteroids to their homes.

Trivia[]

  • Because Danger Zone cannot be played outside the Mirror Worlds, it can be assumed that in Reloaded's universe, Danger Zone serves a secret hideout that can only be accessed by entering a wormhole that leads to the Mirror Worlds.
  • Weirdly enough, there are four regular eggs in the ending cutscene, while only three have been seen in the Mirror Worlds cutscene and Danger Zone's beginning cutscene.
  • Although Ice Bird is present in the ending cutscene, he is not seen escaping from the mine when it explodes. However, this alludes to page 170-171 of The World of Angry Birds Official Guide, where it is mentioned that the other Eggsteroids are now under his protection.
  • Danger Zone D-29 has Cosmic Bubbles added in, due to him being absent in the original version of Danger Zone.
  • This is the only episode in Angry Birds Reloaded to:
    • Completely revamp/replace a level, that being Danger Zone D-30.
    • Rework and expand an episode's storyline.
      • Hektor Porko also replaces a pig from the original Space in every level.
  • Danger Zone's visuals host the most drastic redesign since Cosmic Crystals and Brass Hogs; the naval mines are more detailed and are also drawn in different perspectives, floating down into the bottom of the screen. Lightning will also streak across the background occasionally, and there are irregular cloud formations moving across as well. In addition, the sky is colored a bright crimson with shadows that resemble clouds. Phase 2 and Phase 5 of Danger Zone D-30 also feature an interior of the giant naval mine's center, with snout-like windows.
