"The tiny Desert Island floats in the Limestone Lagoon. This island is one of the hottest places on Piggy Island, but the mud found around the watering holes is the best there is. The pigs would love to export the sloppy stuff to Pig City, but it hardens in the blazing sun."
The Desert Island[1] is a location that appears in the Angry Birds series. It is a small but dry, deserted island located off the southern coast of Piggy Island.
The Desert Island is a tiny island on earth, surrounded by the Limestone Lagoon found off the southern coast of Piggy Island. The entire island is an arid desert, hence the name; vegetation is scarce apart from cacti, and canyons are commonly found. The Desert Island has several watering holes surrounded by mud; this mud is the pigs' favorite, but attempts to transport it elsewhere have been thwarted by the scorching sun hardening it when it is taken out from its place of origin.[1]
In the original Angry Birds, the Desert Island serves as the location of Ham 'Em High, released in December 2010. In that chapter's events, the pigs stole the Angry Birds' eggs once again and fled with them to the desertic landmass. However, the birds followed them there, eventually beating King Pig and retrieving the eggs.[1]
Angry Birds Epic[]
The Desert Island appears as a location in Angry Birds Epic. During the game's story, Wizpig hid one of the Angry Birds' eggs in a castle on Desert Island; the island itself was locked behind a gate whose key was in Prince Porky's hands. The key was eventually stolen by the Blues, who ended up being cornered by the Piggy kingdom's army. Fortunately, the Angry Birds saved the three hatchlings and used the key to access the island, where they infiltrated the castle and defeated Porky in a battle, securing their second egg.
In gameplay, the Desert Island contains five levels, four of which proceed in the main story, whereas the remaining one is optional. Lots of new desert-type enemies are introduced here, including:

Desert Island - 2: The second obligatory level on the Desert Island. This level is overlooked by three giant, claw-like bones that rise up from the ground.
Desert Island - 3: The third obligatory level, it is set near a giant rock and a cactus.
Eastern Desert Island: The only optional Level of Desert Island, which can be accessed after beating Desert Island - 2. The sole enemy of this stage is a Cactus Knight Captain, who is stronger than a normal Cactus Knight and appears as a boss. He can inflict damage-over-time to the playable characters and make them suffer damage by attacking a Pig.
Desert Pig Castle: The final level of the Desert Island and the second castle overall. The final battle here is against Prince Porky, who deals lots of damage to the playable characters and can dodge high damage.
