Dirge is a Deceptihog in Angry Birds Transformers.

Appearance[]

Dirge is a heavy retool of Starscream based on his Generation 1 counterpart.

Personality[]

Dirge is the complete opposite of his Conehead compatriots. He works silently and cultivates fear and anticipation in all those around him. Dirge doesn't like confrontation, and will often freeze up in close combat. This is why his weapon of choice is preying upon the fear in others!

Deep down, Dirge wants out of this violent life. He wasn't cut out for conflict and conquest the same way his fellow Coneheads are. Unfortunately there's no easy way out for this unlucky deceptihog, and so he will have to continue snooping around and ensure he's on the winning side in the end.

Dirge is just as devious in combat as he is in his conquest. His explosive projectiles make short work of his enemies and in doing so he feeds his vampiric nature - leeching life from his enemies as he sees fit!

Dirge can be unlocked either through Challenge Events for 10,000 Tokens, purchasing his bundle for 2,000 Gems, or from Gold Crates. During gameplay, Dirge fires TNT blocks that travels in an arching angle. The TNTs have a wide splash damage. Additionally, Dirge has the unique ability to recover a sliver of health by firing his weapon directly at the pigs, allowing him to survive in difficult situations, like in a Spark Run or if the player is dangerously low on health.

His characterization, that of a fear-mongering Seeker with an overwhelming need for control, is identical to his personality as originally written by Marvel Comics writer and editor Bob Budiansky.
