Game appearances
Angry Birds Star Wars
Emperor Palpatine appeared as the last boss, fought in the final level of the Death Star II world, although he first appears watching in glee as Luke Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker fight. After the player clears the penultimate level, Sidious watches from his throne as Luke is distraught over having injured his father. Luke then turns his lightsaber on Sidious, terrifying him.
During the fight, Sidious is surrounded with an electrical shield, which weakens whenever he discharges thunderbolts across his room. His thunderbolts will trigger from hitting him. Occasionally, Sidious will change his height; he is invincible until he stops moving, and he will not move if he has lost the electrical shield. After hitting him with some birds, he will be very injured and stunned. After that the player could play as Darth Vader, who's the only bird who could defeat him. In the next cutscene, Sidious is shown getting knocked over the railing to his doom, but manages to strike Vader with one last thunderbolt.
Angry Birds Star Wars Facebook
Darth Sidious only appears in tournament levels as a hologram in the game. His power is to hit objects and enemies with chain lightning.
Angry Birds Star Wars II
In the second game, he becomes a playable character and is also seen more frequently. His power is to shoot chain lightning. The chain lightning he shoots can conduct through Iron and Wood, although it's weak against Glass. Sidious makes his first appearance in Naboo Invasion P1-6.
Sidious wore a false beak while he was disguising as a bird and became the senator of Naboo, where he was elected to become the chancellor of the Senate. The Jedi Birds and their fellow were totally unaware with his true identity as a ruthless, powerful Sith Lord until he issued Order 66, leading to the termination of the Jedi Order. Sidious later manipulated Anakin, turning him over to the Pork Side. After Anakin met his own defeat on Mustafar and sustained irreparable damage, Sidious sends his troops to recover him, where they place him in life support armor. This leads to Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader.
If the player fails a Bird Side level, Sidious performs his evil laugh[1], and if the player fails a Pork Side level, Sidious gets very angry.
Angry Birds Mini Hero
Darth Sidious appears in that game as the main antagonist.
