Breaking and Entering is the sixth episode of Angry Birds on The Run. It premiered on December 15, 2018.

Synopsis[]

In order to get vital information about their mission, the Angry Birds must find a way to sneak into an office building undetected. What could possibly go wrong?

Plot[]

The episode starts with the mysterious stranger pulling in front of the broken mirror, armed with a net. A man is seen watching the news on his phone, that the Angry Birds game will be shut down in 48 hours due to the disappearance of Red, Chuck and Bomb, and will have to be replaced. Red and Chuck are below the bench the man is on, and are visibly shocked at this revelation. Bomb shows up and asks what is wrong. When he learns of their fate, it cuts to him near the edge of a water tank, crying and sobbing loudly (all while shedding copious amounts of tears). Red tries to console him, but to no avail. Chuck suggests going into the office nearby, and use the laptop inside to look up the school. Bomb asks how they can go in, pointing out that they can't just go up and ask. A montage plays out (which takes place over the course of an hour and a half) of the trio hiding and waltzing across cat-burglar-style to enter the office, all while they hide near steeples, lamp posts, trashcans and boxes. After they reach that evening, Red asks how they can enter the office. Chuck tells to go in if any human opens the door to go in or out. When this happens, Red zips through, only to get wedged between the doors. Sarcastically, he tells Chuck how peachy this is, and what a "good plan" it was, which Chuck takes as a compliment.

Trivia[]

  • The moving box at the end, as well as the cat-like moves used by the birds to infiltrate the office is likely a reference to Konami's Metal Gear Solid franchise, which uses boxes as a means of camouflage, and the use of stealth mechanics.
