Egg Bomb

An Egg Bomb is the egg launched by Matilda and Reporter. It destroys anything within a short distance and produces an airwave that forces back anything else within a larger radius upon contact with the Bad Piggies' structure. It has a decent amount of power, but its small blast radius hinders it from doing any colossal damage.

They have the second smallest explosion, after Bubbles' popping. They also bounce if they hit birds or bouncy items and can float on water. In Angry Birds 2, Matilda looks normal after releasing the egg.

In Angry Birds Classic, the Egg Bomb is Matilda's ability. When used, she will lay the Egg Bomb downwards. The egg will explode on impact with anything, causing any pigs nearby to be popped or damaged.

An egg bomb power-up was planned to appear but was removed because it would be too similar to Matilda's power.

In Angry Birds Go!, the Egg Bomb is Matilda's special power. When used, she will throw the Egg Bomb forwards. The egg will explode on impact with anything, causing any racers nearby to spin out. This is one of the more powerful explosive special powers in the game.

Angry Birds World Tour

In Angry Birds World Tour, the Egg Bomb is Matilda's ability. When used, she will lay the Egg Bomb downwards. The egg will explode on impact with anything, causing any pigs nearby to be popped or damaged.

Angry Birds Champions

In Angry Birds Champions, the Egg Bomb is Matilda's ability. When used, she will lay the Egg Bomb downwards. The egg will explode on impact with anything, causing any pigs nearby to be popped or damaged.

Angry Birds Reloaded

In Angry Birds Reloaded, the Egg Bomb is Matilda's ability. When used, she will lay the Egg Bomb downwards. The egg will explode on impact with anything, causing any pigs nearby to be popped or damaged. Harvey’s ability is similar as it's the same but Harvey would lay Courtney downwards instead of an egg bomb. One of the differences however is that Courtney does not explode and stays on the floor instead.

The Angry Birds Movie

In The Angry Birds Movie, the Egg Bombs are pink egg-shaped fireballs that explode into pink dust when they have an impact on a solid object and Matilda can release them as she pleases.

• The Egg Bomb seems to be filling Matilda's body, as compared to the corpse sprite of the Rio version

• Birds and corpses in some slingshot games are impervious to egg bombs. If the player drops an egg bomb on a Corpse or a Bird waiting their turn on the slingshot, the egg will bounce off.
• The Egg Bomb has the second smallest explosion, after Bubbles' popping.
• The Egg Bomb resembles an original egg.
• There was a falling egg bomb Power-up once, but Rovio cut it, probably because it resembled Matilda's power too much. 
  • The appearance of the egg bomb was a normal black bomb in the shape of an egg with a fuse and the parachute was white and red.
• In Angry Birds Toons, it does not appear and cannot be launched by Matilda, as usually the Egg Bomb was released only for the games
