Gilded Cage is the tenth episode of the second season of Angry Birds Stella and the twenty-third overall. It premiered on January 29, 2016.

Plot[]
The Handsome Pig arranges a date with Gale, in a room in the castle. He places two glasses and a romantic card on the table, and then goes to find Gale, but finds her staring at the Golden Egg (which he had just found), so when he sees that Gale only pays attention to the egg, he gets upset and leaves. Meanwhile, Gale shows the piglets the power of the Golden Egg, turning the cushion he was on into gold, to the admiration of the piglets.
The Handsome Pig returns and tries to surprise Gale again, so he brings her a bouquet of flowers, but she doesn't like it, and also, from among the flowers comes a Scorpionhorse, and when he sees the insect's stinger, the Handsome Pig runs away, while being chased by it outside the castle, while Gale and the piglets watch.
The Handsome Pig accidentally knocks the Golden Egg out of its place, so a worried Gale quickly tries to catch it, when seeing it, she decides to turn a wooden statue of herself into gold with the egg. When the Handsome Pig returns, she tries to give the flowers to Gale again, but she rejects them when she sees that they have mysteriously turned into stone. Soon, several little pigs enter the room and begin to celebrate the acquisition of the Golden Egg. Gale turns a cup into gold to everyone's surprise, then a chandelier, and finally his own throne, while the Handsome Pig looks at the Golden Egg in disgust. Gale continues to transform a chest and a banner with a picture of himself into gold. Then Gale and the little pigs leave the castle, while the Handsome Pig laments.
Outside the castle, Gale climbs a scaffold and turns a castle tower into gold, much to the pigs' admiration, but soon the tower collapses under the weight of the gold and ends up falling into the crater of the volcano. This causes one of the pigs to wail and start crying, which makes Gale angry, and with the Golden Egg he turns the pig into gold, to the terror of the other pigs, who laugh nervously. Back at the castle, the Handsome Pig sadly looks at the large portrait of Gale, when the other very scared pigs arrive, and show the Handsome Pig the pig that Gale turned into gold, which surprises him. One of the pigs gives the Handsome Pig a net to catch the egg, and he accepts it after seeing how Gale is having a romantic dinner with the Golden Egg, at the table that he himself prepared, so he finally decides to steal the Golden Egg with the pigs.
During the night, while Gale is sleeping, the piglets enter his room, and the Handsome Pig, who is hanging on a fishing rod, approaches to take the Golden Egg with the net, but when the net touches the egg, it turns gold, causing the Handsome Pig to scream in fear, and waking Gale up. Gale takes the Golden Egg and brings it to the Handsome Pig, and touches it to him. The piglets peek in the door to see what happened, revealing that Gale only turned the Handsome Pig's wig into gold (as they thought he was going to turn it completely gold). The Handsome Pig, seeing his beautiful but heavy golden wig, is surprised and thanks Gale, before he looks at himself in the mirror with his new outfit. The plain pigs leave disappointed after failing to take the Golden Egg, while Handsome Pig falls under the weight of the wig, and then tries to walk, but trips again, and Gale falls asleep.
Trivia[]
- This is the first episode in the entire series in which a pig is transformed into gold.
- This is the second and last episode in Season 2 in which Stella and her flock do not appear. The first is Royal Pains.
- This is also the fourth and last episode where Stella and her flock do not appear. The first was Piggy Love, the second was Royal Pains and the third was The Golden Queen.
