- This is the first episode where a pig is transformed into gold.
- This the last episode where Stella and her flock didn't appear.
- The story artist posted a storyboard for this episode to YouTube in 2018. Differences between the storyboard and the finished episode include minion pigs falling into the volcano instead of jumping to safety and ale and the Golden Egg having separate beds in the storyboard.[1]
- The title of the episode is a pun on the phrase "gilded age".
