Angry Birds (game)/Glitches

A glitch is an error in a game in which something happens that the game makers did not intend to make happen. Also called bugs.

List of Glitches

Here is the list of glitches found in Angry Birds.

Corpse Glitch

Prerequisites: Yellow Bird or Boomerang Bird unlocked

How to: Fire a Yellow or Boomerang bird into the air while using its ability. Then, fire a second bird (this one can be any bird) so it hits the first bird with the ability. If done correctly, a yellow bird will have its "speeding" sprite replacing its Corpse sprite, and the boomerang bird will have its mouth wide open as if it's flying in the air.

Notes:

• The glitched bird will disappear after left immobilized, just like any other corpse, but will make pain noises and such.
• ===Variation:===
• An additional White Bird corpse glitch can be performed. Perform the Corpse Glitch with the Boomerang Bird, but use the White bird as the secondary bird. If done correctly, the White bird should have a face with closed eyes and a tight beak, as if it's flying in the air before shooting the egg bomb.

Explanation: The game makers programmed a bird to enter its corpse sprite if it hit the ground, pigs, blocks, other birds, etc. They, however, probably forgot to progam the system when a bird using its ability hits a flying bird, thus leaving the bird "frozen", until it disintegrates.

Disappearing Bird Glitch

Prerequisites: Angry Birds Google Chrome, Boomerang Bird unlocked

How to: Launch a Boomerang Bird backwards. Wait until it goes off the screen. Then, click the screen.

The boomerang bird won't come back.

White Bird Glitch

Prerequisites: White Bird unlocked

How to: Fire the white bird and use its egg-shooting ability. Angle the bird so that it will hit a piece of ground (indestructable material). There is a slight chance of the white bird swelling up as if it didn't fire the egg.

Blue Bird Glitch

Prerequisites: Blue Bird unlocked

NOTE: This may be what was supposed to happen.

How to: Split the blue bird in any game(this includes free versions). Only the Bird that was originally fired from the Slingshot will be corpsed immediately. The others will not be corpsed at all.

Slingshot Glitch

Prerequisites: Unlock any level in which the birds next to the slingshot are so close, the bird on the slingshot can stretch and touch them.

How to: "Rub" the bird on the slingshot on another unused bird. The slingshot bird should slowly rotate, allowing the player to fire upside-down birds and such.

Explanation: The Bird on the slingshot always rotates when hit by flying debris, or other birds. Unused birds sitting by the slingshot also count.

Restart Glich (Angry Birds (Google Chrome) only)

Prerequisites: None

How to: In Angry Birds Google Chrome, there is a slight possibility that the game will restart.

Explanation: When the game was being updated for the White Bird to have two corpses, making buttons to press instead of scrolling, etc., somehow this glitch came in to all areas updated.

Blank Screen Glitch (cannot be used in PC and Mac)

Prerequisites: Lagging game (can be done with low battery)

How to: Tap the screen multiple times while performing an action (such as launching a bird from the Slingshot) while the game lags, and if done correctly, the game will partialy crash and the screen will go all white or all black, but with the pause button remaining. The only way to get out of the glitch is to go back to the level selection menu; resetting the level does nothing.

Notes: Since the HD versions usually don't lag, this will not work on the HD versions.

Freeze Glitch

If the player updated Angry Birds for the first Mine and Dine levels and tap on Start, the game will freeze and will turn blank when turned on. This was later fixed when they added the final set of Mine and Dine levels.

Tomorrow glitch

Prerequisites: Angry Birds Google Chrome, between Dec 1 and Dec 25

How to: If the player waits long enough, the Seasons Greedings level for the next day will appear.
