Grimlock is one of the many unlockable characters within Angry Birds Transformers.

Grey Slam Grimlock is based on his Generation 1 beast mode, with green accents resembling either his Robots in Disguise 2015 counterpart or simply Hal's green color scheme. This version is not playable in-game.

Grey Slam Grimlock[]

He looks almost exactly the same except his whole beak is silver rather than yellow, which is possibly meant to resemble his Age of Extinction counterpart.

Energon Grimlock[]

Energon Grimlock is identical to his Grey Slam counterpart, but now has Energon-glow aesthetic.

Goldbite Grimlock[]

Goldbite Grimlock now has a more golden color scheme, making him more in line with his Generation 1 counterpart, but the colors are dim and somewhat dull, which makes his icon appear incorrect.

Personality[]

You might call Grimlock the 'strong, silent type,' except he's really not silent at all. He loves to roar and smash and stomp and zap things with his laser and do anything else that's noisy.

Grimlock doesn't like authority or taking orders (unless the order is to smash stuff up), but in the end he always comes through for his team-mates.

Grimlock is strong and brave, but also slow and clumsy. His direct, 'smash anything that gets in the way' attitude makes him an excellent asset on the battlefield, just don't expect him to do anything sneaky. But what do you expect? He's a dinosaur.

His weapon can be used to sweep across the screen, smashing ice blocks or weak threats as it goes. Or you can hold the beam on a single target to burn through it.

Either way, you need to watch the weapon doesn't overheat and shut down. If that happens you just have to wait for it to cool - down.

Grey Slam Grimlock[]

Grey Slam Grimlock is the 14th unlockable character on the game's map, requiring 1000 Pigs to unlock and rescue him. During gameplay, Grey Slam Grimlock fires a beam of energy. The beam hits instantly, making him extremely effective against missiles. The beam also deal rapid damage to pigs and blocks.

Energon Grimlock[]

Energon Grmlock is the 17th unlockable character on the game's map, requiring 2200 Pigs to unlock and rescue him. During gameplay, Energon Grimlock's weapon is much more stronger than any of his counterparts, able to destroy Mortar Tower with ease. As with other Energon characters, Energon Grimlock takes double the damage, but can heal himself with Energon gain from destroying cyberformed objects.

Goldbite Grimlock[]

Goldbite Grimlock is the 24th unlockable character on the game's map, requiring 2800 Pigs to unlock and rescue him. During gameplay, Goldbite Grimlock's weapon is identical to his Grey Slam counterpart, except that it can push back pigs and blocks, making him excellent at taking down tall structures. As an "Ultimate" character, completing an event as Goldbite Grimlock awards the player with an "Ultimate Character Bonus" coins, while failing an event with him gives the player no coins. The character bonus is an addition 50% of the coins collected, which works really well as Goldbite Grimlock is slow, and missiles are just easy coins, which can result in some very, very large numbers of coins collected.

Trivia[]

Originally in the beta version, Grimlock was going to be in the game, but ultimately got replaced by Grey Slam Grimlock instead.
Goldbite Grimlock’s icon is inaccurate to his in game model, as it more accurately portrays the normal Grimlock, which was never added into the game.
Grimlock is the only character in the game to have a non-humanoid robot mode; that being his signature T-rex alt mode. He is even given a vehicular alt mode as substitute for his use of his beast mode.
- However, there is an artwork that depicts him in his standard robot mode, though this is never seen in the final version of the game.
- Said vehicular alt mode appears to somewhat inspire one of Grimlock's toys in the Rescue Bots: Academy toy line, which also transforms him into a trike motorcycle.
