Ham 'Em High is the fifth episode of Angry Birds, featuring a wild west theme divided into three stages with 15 levels each. It was released to celebrate the game's first anniversary.
Ham 'Em High is played in an old western-style theme, with the Pigs wearing cowboy hats and sombreros. In this chapter, the Pigs break free from their captivity in the last chapter and steal the eggs with a lasso, taking them to the Wild West. This chapter also makes up the twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth themes of the original game, containing levels 192–240. Since the Theme 14 update, levels that require a "like" to Facebook are added, in the style of Hogs and Kisses, Go Green, Get Lucky and Moon Festival from Angry Birds Seasons.
In Angry Birds Friends, the background can be added to the player's avatar.
Storyline[]
The following is from The World of Angry Birds Official Guide, as told by the Mighty Eagle:
HOWDY PARTNER!
There's no time to lose. Those green varmints have lassoed the eggs and dragged them all the way to the open range of Desert Island. Prepare yourself for a showdown at high noon, egg-slinger!

- Before the episode colors were removed in an update, the representative color they used in Ham 'Em High is tan. In the PC version, it was orange.
- The title of the episode is a reference to the 1968 film, Hang 'Em High.
- In the intro, there are pigs wearing fedoras and holding whips, thus making a reference to Indiana Jones.
- This is the only Angry Birds episode to use a pig-related pun as its title.
- This is the first Angry Birds episode to have only one background for all of its themes.
- In v1.5.0-v2.2.0 (and 2.3.0 Android), Chuck and the Blues don't appear. However in the 2.3.0 update (except on Android, in which it would be 3.0.0), both of them appear.
- Ham 'Em High is the final episode to use the original pig designs on the episode thumbnail, as starting from Mine and Dine, the Angry Birds Chrome designs would be used instead.
- A DeLorian is a structure in Level 14-5 of Ham 'Em High.
- Originally, this was the only episode in the original Angry Birds game that contains levels that require a "like" on Facebook to unlock, although hitting the "Like" button is all that needs to be done. However, in the 3.4.0 update, this requirement was removed. These levels are also present in Rovio Classics: Angry Birds.
- In the Angry Birds Trilogy version of the cutscenes, Medium Pig can be seen when Corporal Pig and Foreman Pig are defeated, while in the original, he's not.
- This and Danger Above the only episodes where Foreman Pig is seen in the cutscene where Corporal Pig is defeated. Other times, he is not there.
- Wooden Horses, Cows, Oxen and Dromedaries appear in the levels.
- This episode is referenced in The Angry Birds Movie as some Country Pigs have Wooden Horses and some were riding a mechanical cow in Pig City.
- The Wild West Tournament in Angry Birds Friends is similar to this episode.
- In the original game, the background ambience was simply "red savannah", or the sound that plays in various levels, including Poached Eggs World 3. In Angry Birds Trilogy, it gains its own unique ambience, fit with a harmonica solo in the background.
- For some reason in the retina version of 2.3.0 HD, the Facebook like button sprite is missing though the button itself (despite not being there) still functions.
- This does not occur on all retina iPhone versions, 2.2.0 HD retina, and 3.0.0-3.3.1 HD Retina.
