Iron Bird is the transformation for Matilda in Angry Birds Reloaded in the Space section, introduced in Eggspansion Theory.
Appearance[]
As Iron Bird, Matilda got a robotic make-over. She's now made of silver iron with circular and curved seams, a dark gray iron beak, and still kept her cheek marks, which are now white. Instead of her normal eyes and crest feathers, she now has a visor eye that glows pink, and a Space Egg-like antenna, which is cleverly referencing said Space Egg.
Game Appearance[]
In Reloaded, Iron Bird made her debut as a skin for normal Matilda in the Carnival section, and later as a playable variant. In the space section, she first appeared in a cutscene where she was captured by Leonard and the pigs. And later, freed by the Space Flock.
Her gameplay, like her original self, stays the same, but with alterations. When launching her, she shoots her space egg to wherever direction the player tapped and makes her went the opposite direction. Her eggs, instead of exploding, sucks in whatever object or pig comes in its way. They're like the Space Egg, but much weaker. She works similar to Jango Fett and Boba Fett from Angry Birds Star Wars II, where they launch their missiles to wherever the player taps.

- Iron Bird's name may have been named after Marvel's Iron Man.
- She is the second bird to be added to Angry Birds Space (albeit the Reloaded version) in an update, the first being Cosmic Bubbles (who debuted in the original game).
- She is the first female character to have a playable Wormhole transformation.
- She is the last of the original flock to have a space form.
- Originally when she was added in the space section as of the Eggspansion Theory update, her cursor is the same as Lazer Bird's. However in the Wingularity update, her cursor has undergone a color change, it was recolored to be the same color as her body.
