Personality[]
Judge Peckinpah is an extremely arrogant, biased, pompous, and unjust judge who loves the sound of his own voice and holds court even when he's not actually in court. He typically sends birds to the anger management classes at the Infinity Acceptance Center.
He can be seen strutting around Bird Island like he owns the place. He is so small that underneath his robes, he stands on the shoulders of another bird, Cyrus, even though every bird knows the truth, meaning he's not fooling any of the citizens. He only believes he's the one with a higher calling one that requires a higher perch on Cyrus' shoulders. He was at first the antagonist but after the raid on the village's eggs, he reformed and helped Red get the eggs back.

Book Appearances[]
Red's Got The Blues[]
The plot of Red's Got The Blues revolves around the ceremony for Judge Peckinpah's new statue. The judge himself first makes his presence loud and clear when he walks into The Birdfeeder restaurant and begins chatting with Red about the ceremony. Red proposes that a large statue dedicated solely to the Judge is a little ridiculous. Judge Peckinpah responds in kind with a long-winded rant about how he is the sole bastion of order on Bird Island. Red, desperate to abort the conversation, no matter the cost, agrees to the dubious notion that Peckinpah plays an important role in bird society.
Unfortunately for the Judge, his display of raw ego and condescending attitude makes a powerful enemy in the form of The Blues, who happen to be sitting with Red at the time and not liking anything of what they hear. The troublemaking triplets sneak a peppershaker into the Judge's pocket, causing Cyrus, who's been performing his usual duties as Peckinpah's discrete footstool, to begin sneezing uncontrollably. This behavior continues up through the ceremony, where Cyrus' sneezing gets so out of control that Peckinpah gets knocked right off him. The Judge swiftly reorients himself, and discovers the peppershaker in his coat.
Judge Peckinpah immediately blames Red for the act, using his bad attitude as evidence for the crime. When Red tries to argue against the unsubstantiated accusations of fowl play, The Judge simply dismisses him. telling him to save it for the court that will be held the next morning. Luckily for Red, Judge Peckinpah accidentally discovers blue feathers stuck to his handkerchief. The Judge, in a rare display of logical thinking, connects the feather color back to The Blues, who are in the middle of an unsuccessful attempt to flee the scene. The Judge immediately begins putting the infants on blast for their misdeed, whilst also throwing in a potshot at Red about him being a bad influence. Red comes to the children's defense, telling Peckinpah that even for his standards, ordering infants to court is absurd. This renders the Judge to silence for a moment, before he angerly orders Red to take the three back home, whilst also throwing in one last threat of punishment to all involved.
No Need for Speed[]
Judge Peckinpah has an incredibly easy to miss cameo in the book. The back of his head is visible in the line for Willow's Healthy and Wholesome All-Organic Cafe.

Angry Birds Action![]

He had a fully 3D Model and was unplayable, but in the game he appears competing with the player in the levels, but only as an icon.
When the game was fully launched in all countries, the story mode was removed, meaning that Judge Peckinpah's role was also removed. Despite that, he appeared as one of the avatars for another player when they completed a level on the Piggy Island section of the game.
Relationships[]
Red[]

In return, he and the rest of the citizens of Bird Island rebuilt his house and moved it back into the village. Despite this, he still accuses Red of crimes that he did not commit.
Cyrus[]
