Market Mayhem level 30 is the final level of Market Mayhem, the seventh episode of Angry Birds Rio. It consists of a boss fight against Mauro, the leader of the marmosets, and the fourth and penultimate boss battle overall. The player is given six birds to take Mauro out and, unlike in previous bosses, they also have to clear regular marmosets.
Description[]
The boss arena consists of a large space: the slingshot is placed atop a moderately tall surface. In the center are three pedestals, where Mauro randomly hops around. At the right is a stack of two platforms, while at the right is one platform supported by flimsy wooden planks and crates. Finally, above the first pedestal is a platform supported by a row of sand blocks, from which hangs a TNT; above the second third pedestal is a much smaller platform supported by two sand blocks. Both platforms have crates, marmosets and a TNT block on top of them.
Walkthrough[]
The player is supplied with six birds: Red, Jewel, Chuck, Hal, Terence, and Matilda. They should aim Red towards the hanging TNT from the first platform when Mauro is on the first pedestal, and shortly after fling Jewel towards the sand row supporting the second platform. Both of these should severely damage the boss. Chuck should then aim at the wooden plank between the two rightmost platforms, dropping debris onto the pedestal to further damage Mauro. Hal, meanwhile, should be redirected towards the two marmosets in the bottom left, clearing the rightmost platform. By this point, all marmosets should have been defeated.
As Mauro takes damage, he hops around increasingly fast, making him more difficult to hit. Once taken down, Mauro awards the player with 10,000 points, and once all marmosets are taken out, the next episode, Golden Beachball, is unlocked. For the three stars, the player needs to accumulate at least 130,000 points.[1]
