Marlon is a bird who appears in an unnamed comic released on July 29, 2024.[1] and a minor character in Angry Birds Mystery Island.[2]

Appearance[]

Marlon is a round, greyish pink mauve bird, around the same size as Red, with a light mauve belly, short zigzag markings on his cheeks, and a short yellow beak. He wears a grey flat cap on his head.

The first appearance of Marlon was on the Angry Birds Twitter account on August 16, 2024.[3]

Trivia[]

  • He is the second bird in the Classic Universe to wear a hat/cap. the first being Willow.
  • In the Japanese dub of Angry Birds Mystery Island, Marlon is voiced by Hamylton's Japanese voice actor.
  • Some fans have theorized that he may be the long-awaited "Purple Bird" in the franchise that was finally made canon in the Classic Universe.
    • Prior to the characters debut, there was an unused Purple-Colored Bird that was revealed in the Rovio Museum Website in July 2024 and was planned to be a member of the original flock for Angry Birds Classic. It was scrapped for unknown reasons until Marlon himself debuted in a Classic-Related Comic Fifteen years later.
      • Despite having the same purplish color, they are not related to each other.
