Marmosets are small monkeys who are the "minions" of Nigel.

Angry Birds Rio

In Angry Birds Rio, the marmosets were sent to defeat the Angry Birds after they escape from the Smugglers' Den.

In gameplay, the marmosets act in the role of antagonists, as the Bad Piggies do in the original Angry Birds. Unlike the pigs, Marmosets can roll back right-side-up after being tipped over. They occasionally survive after falling. Their hitboxes are also rectangular, as opposed to the pigs’ round “hit balls”.

Marmosets do not take damage when bounced onto floaties or parasols. In the final level of Carnival Upheaval, the head of the marmoset, Mauro, appears as a boss. Upon failing a level, they will laugh, which leads to the player failing the level (each episode they appear in has a variation).

Angry Birds Friends

In Angry Birds Friends, the marmosets appeared as enemies in the Rio Tournament.

• Marmosets appear in the Rio 2 levels, but in the movie, they are absent.
• In the game (as well as most of their screen time in the movie), Marmosets make chimpanzee sounds, but in real-life, they chirp.
