Meet the Pink Bird (also known as the Back to School Short Movie) is a trailer released on Aug 8, 2012,[1] introducing Stella the Pink Bird, and featuring Angry Birds Seasons Back to School.

Synopsis[]

One day, a pink galah bird named Stella is leisurely blowing bubbles in Piggy Island. She suddenly hears a commotion in the distance and curiously peeks through a nearby bush. To her surprise, she finds Corporal Pig instructing three Large Pigs on the distinction between good and bad. He points at two drawings on a chalkboard, one resembling a scorching iron and the other, a desirable egg. Corporal Pig declares that the iron is undesirable and the egg is delicious. Just then, Corporal Pig presents another plan to capture the eggs. Stella, shocked, annoyed and angry at the pigs' intention, blows one of her bubbles into the shape of an egg as a prank to direct it towards the pigs. The pigs, misinterpreting the bubble as a real egg, frantically chase after it and follow it to the edge of a cliff. In their eagerness to catch the egg, they crash into each other, causing them to plummet into the abyss. With a cheeky grin, Stella sticks her tongue out at the pigs and continues blowing more bubbles.

Trivia[]

  • Corporal Pig has his older Angry Birds Toons and Angry Birds Trilogy design, without a card on his helmet. When he falls in the cliff, there is a card in his helmet. It's possible it was shown from a different angle up to this point.
  • A shot from this trailer was shown in Angry Birds Toons’s Meet The Flock trailer, but Stella does not actually appear in any episodes. Ironically, she is also not listed as one of the characters either.
  • The pigs' corpses are again used in the episode "Slingshot 101" when they are launched with the slingshot.
  • Corporal Pig uses a sponge as an eraser.
