- "You seen an egg, Bomb? Average size, looks cracked… kind of a bad egg attitude."
- — Red regarding Mia, "Mr. Bomb-bastic"
Mia, formerly known as M before being renamed by the Mighty Eagle,[4] (nicknamed the bad egg and Eggson[2] prior to hatching), is a recurring character in the Angry Birds 15th Anniversary Comic series, loosely based on the character of the same name from Angry Birds Mystery Island. She is a hatchling being care-taken by the Flock and attends the local nursery.
While Mia was still in her egg, characterized by its pink shell and large crack,[6] she had already established a disobedient personality, which persisted following her hatching; she routinely escapes her caretakers' supervision and gets into trouble, leaving her needing to be rescued or kept occupied. Despite her antics and young age, Mia is decently intelligent, being able to understand and memorize complex mechanisms with ease, which has managed to get her peers out of several harsh situations.
Appearance[]
Mia is depicted as a small, circular limbless bird, covered in pink feathers, with a light pink belly and two short pink feathers for her tail. Designed closely after her namesake from Angry Birds Mystery Island, she has massive, purple pie-eyes, two lashes on each, and a blush mark on each of her cheeks. Mia also has a tiny beak, though it can grow much wider while she cries.[3] Contrasting the more traditional crests of other birds in the Classic continuity, Mia has a large blue-purple tuft of hair, along with a cowlick, a simpler interpretation of the Mystery Island character's hairdo.

Mia's egg, like most of its kind, had a protective ovular shell - though it had several features that differentiated it from other eggs. Most notably, it was colored a bright pink rather than the usual white. In addition, the shell sports a large crack,[6] dark pink in color and resembling a lightning bolt symbol. The egg would later be decorated by Matilda in the "Survival of the Eggest" story, with a purple bow on the top and two small gem stickers evoking eyes.
