The Mighty Falcon, also known simply as the Falcon,[1] is an object that appears in the Angry Birds Star Wars series. It is a ship mostly used by the smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca.
Originally owned by Lando Bird, the Mighty Falcon became the property of Han Solo after winning it on a bet. Though the two friends still argue on who should have the Mighty Falcon, the ship has been used in several battles and missions by the Bird Rebels.[1]
Description
Appearance
The Mighty Falcon takes the appearance of a large ship made mostly out of white, yellow, and red metal. On the right side, it has an egg-shaped cockpit where Han pilots the ship.[1] On the top part, there is a large, white and red-colored slingshot. On the back, the Mighty Falcon is equipped with six heat exhaust vents.[1]
Features and abilities
While not looking very powerful, the Mighty Falcon is equipped with a lot of weaponry, such as laser shots that can pass through almost anything. It is also very quick, with a light-speed warp drive that makes it the fastest ship in the galaxy. Despite its features though, the Falcon is not very resistant and can be broken down with ease.[1]
Overview
The Mighty Falcon only appears as a powerup in Angry Birds Star Wars. The player can obtain it by buying it at the shop or by collecting stars. When used in gameplay, the current bird on the slingshot will be replaced by an egg-shaped device with an antenna on top of it. When launched, the player can tap onto the screen to create a target. The Mighty Falcon will then pass by, shooting large orange laser shots that will destroy anything they touch. The Falcon will shoot these shots at the target. When the Mighty Falcon is used once, the normal score system will be replaced with a destruction gauge. In addition, the player will be unable to use normal powerups. When all enemies in the level are killed after using the Mighty Falcon, the player will get a silver medal if the destruction gauge is not full. On the other hand, filling the destruction gauge will grant the player a golden medal after completing the level.
In addition of being a powerup, the Mighty Falcon also appears as the location of the slingshot during the battles against Darth Vader's TIE fighter and the Giant Mynhog in Death Star and Hoth, respectively.
