Mount Pork is a location that appears in Angry Birds 2. It is a mountain located on Piggy Island, best known for being the residence of the Angry Birds.

Description[]

Mount Pork is a mountain on Piggy Island, featuring a large cave system inside. Only one entrance to this cavern exists in the form of a huge doorway in the shape of a pig. If one enters through the mouth of this fiery piggy, one will find oneself in the expansive cave area, filled with jagged rocks, steam and ancient totems depicting frowny piggies. The only things litting up the cavern in its ominous dark red color, are the huge lava lakes covering most of the cavern floors. Large rock formations float in these lakes, on which piggy intruders tend to build fortresses. The larger formations may create tall lavafalls.

Mount Pork's caverns are home to Stonespewers. These small, pig-resembling machines are mounted to the cavern's walls and the sides of big rock formations. Stonespewers are usually inactive, but may wake up when their accompanying crystal is touched in any way. Stonespewers have the ability to spit out round stone boulders and pebbles, hence the name.

Game appearances[]

Angry Birds 2[]

In Angry Birds 2, this location is mostly found in Clan Events and Mighty Eagle's Bootcamp, but can also rarely appear in Adventures and Arena battles. A Clan event, fittingly named Mount Pork, takes place in this area, the objective being to "stop the pigs from setting up camp in Mount Pork."

Lava[]

A lava lake is always present at the bottom of a room in Mount Pork. When the circumstances are just right (no rocks in the way, the lava being deep enough, etc.), birds can be flung into the lava. Lava behaves almost the same as regular Angry Birds 2 water, allowing the bird to make a little distance submerged in the bubbly liquid, then letting buoyancy do its job and ejecting the bird again. However, birds do not leave the lava with just more speed and a new trajectory, they are now also followed by a trail of sparks. Similar effects to those of birds that have just flown through a ring of fire now apply to the bird: on contact with any object, pig or other surface, the bird will cause an explosion. This does not affect the bird itself but greatly affects structures, almost always toppling them.

Blocks and other objects that fall in lava will slowly sink, until they eventually break from the heat. Stronger objects like stone blocks and boulders will take longer to break than weaker objects, for example ice or wood blocks. Pigs that fall into lava will immediately pop on contact with the boiling liquid. Birds that fall into lava after becoming a corpse will slowly sink down until they pop from natural causes. An inflated Bubbles will float on top of lava until he pops.

Stonespewers[]

Stonespewers can occur on the sides of rocks in Mount Pork levels. They have a colored stripe on their head, which shows to which crystal they are linked. These crystals appear elsewhere in the room, and all have their own specific color. When a crystal is hit or touched in any way, it will become gray in hue and a white streak will slowly make its way towards the Stonespewer of the same color. The Stonespewer will then activate and spit out three Stone either big or small boulders in the direction it's facing. This is really helpful for toppling fortresses, as Stonespewers are often facing a piggy construction. After the rocks have been spewed, the Stonespewer will deactivate and a white streak will go back to the crystal, once again giving it back its color.
