| This article is about the character from Angry Birds Transformers. You may be looking for other versions of Zeta in Angry Birds Transformers. |
Nightbird is both an Autobird and Deceptihog in Angry Birds Transformers
Appearances[]
Nightbird is based on her original appearance in the Generation 1 episode, Enter the Nightbird, except that in the original cartoon, she didn't have an alternate mode. Instead, her alternate mode is based around her Nightbird Shadow figure from both the Transformers Legends and Masterpiece toy-lines from Takara-Tomy.
Personality[]
Nightbird like Zeta is misunderstood. Nightbird was created to represent the advancements in human technology. However, she was corrupted by the Deceptihogs and was forced to betray the Autobirds!
When Nightbird was returned to Doctor Fujiyama, she was placed in cold storage which Zeta can relate to as ruler of a frozen wasteland known as Eagle Island.
Over the years she has learned to harness the power of ice and can now use the pigs own towers against them! [1][2]

Nightbird can be unlocked either through Challenge Events for 10,000 Tokens, purchasing her bundle for 2,000 Gems, or from Gold Crates. During gameplay, her weapon is somewhat similar to Nautica's, except that Nightbird shoots whole ice blocks instead of water droplets. Just like Nautica, the initial shot will split into more ice blocks upon contact.

Trivia[]
- In most incarnations of Nightbird, she is either portrayed as a Decepticon, a Mercenary, or a Terrorcon in Transformers: Rise of the Beast film. However, in October 2022, she was labeled as a Deceptihog.
- Nightbird body is based on the Takara Tomy Transformers Legends "Nightbird Shadow" toy, transforming into a hovercar version of the vehicle mode. Despite being a new body model, she uses the same upper beak model as the Hal's, and uses Silver's animation rigging (itself modified from the Minion Pig animations).
- For some reason, the game has two different body-types for Zeta as Nightbird, as one of them looks like the cartoon model, while the other one (pictured) is using the same torso as the Minion Pig Seekers. Rovio has confirmed that this is a glitch that occurs after upgrading Nightbird to level 15. The glitch has since been fixed.
- Nightbird's weapon fires ice blocks, which harkens back to Zeta and how she fires lava-filled ice balls onto both Bird Island and Piggy Island in The Angry Birds Movie 2.
- Like Matilda and Mighty Eagle, Zeta uses another character's voice clips and sound effects. In her case, she reuses Stella's voice and sound effects.
- In the other Angry Birds games, Zeta is technically a villain, she is considered a hero in this game.
