Pig City (Also known as Pigtropolis) is the capital of Piggy Island and the residence of the Bad Piggies. It is seen in Angry Birds ToonsThe Angry Birds Movie and much other Angry Birds games. It is quite far from Cobalt Plateaus, the home of the Birds.

The nature of the place has changed over time. Early episodes such as Where's My Crown? depicted the city as a shantytown-like mud-hole dotted with wooden towers surrounding a central palace, while later episodes such as Sneezy Does It show it as a much less squalid town. In The Angry Birds Movie and Piggy Tales: 4th Street, it is a fully civilized city.

Despite the pigs liking to eat a lot and being dity, that doesn't affect the city as it's very clean and organized.

Appearance

Former

In The Angry Birds Movie ,Pig City was much larger than the new Pig City:

It had a bunch of houses with a weak type of concrete, there are also shops such as of TNT, fireworks, hot dog, etc. The Pig Palace (Leonard's Castle) was much larger, made of bricks and gold. It was destroyed in The Battle Of Pig City and reconstructed aswell in the second movie.

It doesn't seem to be built in a giant tree, which it probably grew after some time,  is set in a different place or was the tree was grown or built by the pigs.

Early

Pig City

Early depiction of Pig City.

The earlier episodes showed the Pig City as being a crude, squalid place.

The Minion Pigs there all live in hollow big towers, meaning the pigs have to be in a big pile.

There is a cork that covers a hole that when left open, dispenses out all the pigs in a big stream. The only buildings that looks different from the others are King Pig's Castle and Chef Pig's Hut.

The place looked like a a muddy place, due to the fact that that real pigs roll around in muddy areas and bath in mud.

Later

Starting from the episode Trojan Egg, the Pig City has undergone a dramatic overhaul. The old, hollow residence towers have been swapped out for multi-story, thatched-roof townhouses. Resembling a stereotypical Medieval town more than anything else, the Pig Palace now appears larger, better constructed, and grander, The castle redesign is only shown first in Off Duty when Red tried to get the eggs. There is a part that is more modern, that there's houses that have no straw roofs and are made of bricks, lamp posts are also present. Some bamboo buildings are present next to King Pig 's castle and Corporal Pig's house. The city is built on a giant tree and its large roots, the satlk of the tree was cut and is now the place of the castle, the rest of the tree was probably cut to make the wood used in the constructions.

Notable Residents

Notable areas

Pig Palace

Off Duty Pig Tower

King Pig's Castle is in the distance.

King Pig's Castle is the central location of the Pig City, where King Pig lives. Originally built for his ancestors, the original castle was destroyed in the Battle of Pig City. It was later reconstructed.

From the episode Off Duty, the tower's appearance slightly changed from the original one. In Trojan Egg, the whole town has also changed.

It is also the fifth castle in Angry Birds Epic.

Pig City Harbor

For the stage in Angry Birds Epic, click on Pig City Harbor.

There are two ways to go to Pig City. Either via King Pig's Castle gate, which is the fastest but also the easiest to get spotted by the pigs due to two Guard Pigs stationed at it or via ship through the Harbor. It is where pigs get to and from the Eastern Sea. If the birds wish to stay undetected, the harbor is a better choice as there are no pig guards stationed.

It first appeared in Party Ahoy overall and as a stage in Angry Birds Epic.

Crash Test Lair

The Corporal Pig along with the other pigs in the lair

Appearing only in Crash Test Piggies, the Crash Test Lair was used by Corporal Pig to make a crash test with several pigs.

By the looks of the background, the lair is set right next to Pig City.

Control Room

CRASH TEST PIGGIES FEELING ON NASA

The control room from Crash Test Piggies.

A place possibly built near the Crash Test Site. It was used as mission control for the pig rockets in the episode Crash Test Piggies.

Public Pool

The public swimming pool.

This pool is where every pig can swim. As seen in Piggies from the Deep, this is also where the two shark fin pigs scared the others and where Corporal Pig is training the other pigs in swimming lessons.

Theme Park

First appearing in the Angry Birds Go! episode Sub Zero track 2, the theme park in the episode is shown to be either in

Short and Special-50

Pig City due to the nearby buildings or in Canyon Land, Winter Wonderland, or Snowy Peak due to the snow in the courses.

It also reappears in Short and Special where Golitah Pig works as an operator of the roller coaster to make sure only pigs that meet the height requirement were allowed to take the ride. It's set on the top floor of it and it has two rides, the Piggy Roller Coaster and Clown Pig Ride.

This building is seen with a high wooden stalk with a staircase, it has probably more rides down it.

This is probably the place where the Amusement Pork Tournament takes place.
