Piggy Tales: 4th Street (also known as Angry Birds: Piggy Tales: 4th Street) is the fourth season of Piggy Tales.[1] This season was supposed to be released in the later months of 2017 but it was delayed to the year 2018. During the delay, Rovio had released two special episodes based on the 4th season namely, 'Scary Fog' and 'Holiday Heist'. Scary Fog was released on October 21 and the Holiday Heist was released on December 16. The DVD for this season was released during Christmas 2017. This season is also the final season of the entire series. This was revealed on a Rovio blog post 1 March 2018, aka National Pig Day. In this post, this season was given a detailed summary.

Description[]

In Piggy Tales: 4th Street we explore Pig City and learn about different aspects of urban Piggy life.

On the street, anything can happen. Everyday citizens lead their lives in a non-stop spree of creation and destruction. From cops and robbers to ghosts and goblins, Pig City is full of surprises and unpredictable stories. Do you dare to walk the streets?

History[]

The ending of a season[]

As the last episode of Third Act started to end (Final Curtain), spectators were a bit gloomy after realizing this might be the end of the show. However, the final seconds of the show were a huge surprise, for when the audience saw the ending, they were completely astonished. The final seconds of the episode showed Janitor Pig placing a time-bomb in the basement, unable to control his tears as the series was about to end. Suddenly, a great sound was heard. It resulted in a blast that broke the wall of the piggy theater and the pigs were shocked, they looked back at the literally broken fourth wall and saw for the first time, what was behind them the whole time but never noticed, their true homeland of Pig City.

Title debate[]

The joyous viewers concluded fourth season would be added to succeed Third Act. A great debate had started to determine the name of the upcoming fourth season. Discussion stated the name would be ''Porky Streets'', ''Pig Island'', and multiple other names. Multiple viewers went crazy about the name and began posting numerous theories about the name across the world-wide-web. At CAKE Entertainment's (Piggy Tales: Third Act and Angry Birds Blues' producer) website, the name of the season was formally stated and officially revealed to be Piggy Tales: 4th Street. Following this, Rovio then announced that Piggy Tales: 4th Street was completely legitimate and true.

Sneak peek[]

On the 21st of October, 2017, Rovio released a sneak peek to the upcoming series on YouTube, that was titled Scary Fog in order to celebrate Halloween. It showed the first peek into the amazing bustling, large, vibrant city of the pigs. On the 16th of December, nine days before Christmas, Rovio then released Holiday Heist in order to celebrate the Christmas festivities. Both of these episodes took place at night time, and these episodes did not properly show Pig City. Video descriptions stated the actual series will arrive during the next year, 2018.

A sudden surprise[]

To everyone's surprise, shock, joy and delight, a week after the release of the Christmas special, all of the episodes of Piggy Tales: 4th Street were released on iTunes, and were uploaded on YouTube and added to this very wiki; with the exception of Scary Fog and Holiday Heist. This was an accidental reveal of an intended surprise. Rovio then announced that the entire show was able on Amazon DVDs. These surprises, or ''gifts'' took place in Christmas 2017. The names of episodes were also revealed as well as the intended airing dates. A YouTube channel named Orange9098 were able to upload the entire series on Christmas and Boxing Day. The episodes are currently able to view and will presumably not be taken down by Rovio, and some were even uploaded on this wiki.

The season was supposed to be released in late 2017 (October–December) but was pushed to early 2018. Due to this, Scary Fog and Holiday Heist were the only episodes released in 2017.

On 20 December 2017, Angry Birds Facebook posted the trailer for Piggy Tales: 4th Street but it was promoting DVDs and not the show itself. The exact same trailer was uploaded on YouTube 5 February 2018. It revealed the season will be officially released five days later, i.e. February 10, 2018.

The series begins, formal announcement[]

On 10 February 2018, the actual series started with a special episode called ''Pig City Valentine''. The first three episodes of the season were specials. These were the first legal copies of the episodes on YouTube.

On 1 March 2018, (National Pig Day, United States of America), Rovio fully revealed the detailed summary and synopsis of the season but sadly also stated that Piggy Tales: 4th Street would be the series' final season. The exact words are highlighted in bold. The quote that is shown below is completely verbatim and unmodified. It also has other information regarding the show and National Pig Day.

Quote:

''Oink! March 1st is ‘National Pig Day’, where millions of people (and piggies) are celebrating the wonders of the beloved pig. Founded way back in 1972, this auspicious day was created to honor and respect one of nature’s most beloved and intelligent species. Controversies[]

Illegal uploading of the entire series[]

Shortly after the DVDs of this season were announced, a YouTuber named Orange9098, also known here on Angry Birds Wiki as Famouslogos9098 found a complete collection of entire and uncut episodes from iTunes and YouTube as Piggy Tales Series 7 and 8 and illegally uploaded all of the episodes of the show, excluding Scary Fog and Holiday Heist on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. While his vlogs, like "A Day with Lucy" and his other set of uploads from SSG re-uploads were the most popular videos, the episodes also garnered millions of views (Pigs Can Fly is the most popular, with 1.2 million views) while some videos were blocked worldwide. They would usually be removed when Rovio's official channel uploaded the designated episode, but the eleventh episode (Piggin' String) still has the block, despite being uploaded. However, some episodes do not have blocks.

Accidental leak[]

Episode 11, Piggin' String was accidentally uploaded by Rovio's official channel on the 26th of September, 2017, on 12:26 for 10 minutes - ahead of the intended release date; April 21, 2018. The video in question was titled Piggy Tales 410 Piggin' String. On the intended release date of the video, the episode was given a proper upload.

Trivia[]

  • Piggy Tales: Third Act and Piggy Tales: 4th Street are directly connected, as seen in the third season's last episode.
  • Every single episode (excluding Scary Fog and Holiday Heist) were released on iTunes.[2][3]
  • The episodes were actually meant to air from 2017 to 2018, but they aired in 2018 to 2019, ended after making a year of its first episode. The only episodes that aired in 2017 were Scary Fog and Holiday Heist. This was because of the discontinuation of Toons.TV, in which Rovio had to upload the Angry Birds Toons.TV episodes so they could upload the other cartoons, it also delayed Angry Birds Blues' other episodes.
    • it was also meant to air on Toons.TV.
  • This is the first Angry Birds television adaption to reach it's fourth season, Angry Birds Toons ended on May 13, 2016, with its third season.
