Rain Plateaus - 10 is the tenth level of Rain Plateaus - the second cave of Chronicle Cave in Angry Birds Epic. It is a Normal stage. When this level is finished, the player may spin for 1 Treasure chest. It is a boss fight against Captain Redbeard

Battle Hint

Pirates (Immune to negative effects)

Pirates use Dirty Tricks and are immune to any negative effects.

Hints: Simple attacks are the most effective to overcome these mean fellas. They are vulnerable to support abilities like damage reflection.

Cave Effects

Healing Waters - Heals all pigs by 150. Every 2 turns.

Pigs

Captain Redbeard 7992 Seasoned Stroke Deals 2x 243 damage. Call Aid Charge: 2 turns. Summons 2 pirate allies. Dirty Tricks Passive: Immune to negative effects. The boss of Southern Cobalt Plateaus, Western Cobalt Plateaus, Eastern Cobalt Plateaus - 2, the Porktuga dungeon and Chronicle Cave's Rain Plateaus and Holy Pools. Note: He takes up the appearance of a regular Pirate Captain when the player confront him outside of the Chronicle Cave.

When Captain Red Beard activates his Call Aid skill, two pirates are summoned. Either two Mateys, two Pirates, or one of each are summoned. Here are each of their stats:

Pirate 378 Pillage Deals 2x 59 damage. Lowers target attack power by 20% for 1 turn. Dirty Tricks Passive: Immune to negative effects.

Matey 216 Punch Deals 24 damage. Target receives 70 damage each turn for 2 turns. Dirty Tricks Passive: Immune to negative effects.

The EZ Strategy

This Level is quite easy, and using only two Birds in this Battle got me three Stars! Here are the Birds that I chose:

• Matilda in Cleric
• Jim, Jake and Jay in Tricksters

Now, here is how I completed the Level:

1. Attack with Cleric and Tricksters until Captain Red Beard summons his Pirate Allies.
2. When Captain Red Beard summons his Pirate Allies, only a Pirate and a Matey arrive to help him. So, attack the Pirate with Tricksters and attack the Matey with Cleric. If you do this in vice-versa, the Pirate will still live. So it's better if you do what I just mentioned above.
3. When your Rage Chili is finally filled up, use it on Tricksters to deal lots of damage to Captain Red Beard. However, if you need some emergency Healing, then use it on Cleric.
4. Repeat the steps above again and again until you finally beat Captain Red Beard.

The Speed Strategy

You should be able to clear this stage barely with two birds. Having three helps in having more options.

Here is what I chose:

• Red as Paladin
• Chuck as Lightning Bird

Now, here is how I cleared the Level.

1. Use Devotion on Lightning Bird. This way, Paladin will always absorb the damage, allowing Holy Strike to heal him.
2. Always use Lightning Fast on Paladin to regain as much of Paladin's health as possible.
3. When Captain Red Beard activates his Call Aid skill, defeat the reinforcements with both birds first.
4. When Devotion wears off, reuse it on Lightning Bird.
5. If the Rage Chili is full, use it on Lightning Bird. It will deal more damage than Paladin's rage ability.

Community Strategy

Use Paladin and Spies. Use Spies's support ability and Paladin to heal. Kill summoned pirates as soon as possible. Use Rage Chill on Red.
