Ratchet is an Autobird in Angry Birds Transformers
Appearance[]
Ratchet[]
Ratchet is a fusion of his Generation 1 counterpart, his Animated counterpart, and his Prime counterpart. He is a recolor and retool of Heatwave with a new head sculpt. He has his Animated torso, and his Prime shoulder pattern. Apart from those features, he resembles his Generation 1 counterpart.
Specialist Ratchet[]
He now has battle damages.
Neon Ratchet[]
He now has cyan lights covering his body.
Personality[]
As the Autobird's chief medical officer, it's Ratchet's job to patch up any injuries. But for some reason ever since he teamed up with the intense, silent, staring Terence the number of patients coming to see him has dropped right off... maybe it's something in Terence's bedside manner?
Commom transformer medical problems include "Headmaster Headaches", "Energon Eruptions", and the dreaded "Losing the Instructions So You Can't Change Mode Anymore".
Ratchet has always been a healer and never gets to try to be a warrior, so he's secretly quite enjoying walking in Terence's shoes (that is if Terence wore shoes, or had feet). Now he gets to mend his fellow transformers and also blow stuff up! Boom! Smash! Another Boom!
I guess we'll never know if Terence is also enjoying being teamed up with Ratchet... Speak to me Terence, buddy! No? Okay, one stare for yes, two stares for no...
Game appearance[]
Angry Birds Transformers[]
Ratchet can be unlocked either through Special Events for 7,500 Tokens, from Gold Crates, purchasing his bundle for 2,000 Gems, or from the Buddy Bundle, which includes Ratchet and Smokescreen. During gameplay, Ratchet has a totally different weapon from Heatwave and Sentinel Prime. Instead of a slow firing blast, Ratchet fires a beam of energy similar to Grimlock's weapon, which also comes down from the sky just like Heatwave. It can tear through everything in between, whether it be pigs or blocks. The downside is that it can overheat if used too much, requiring Ratchet to temporarily cool down his weapon.

Trivia[]
- Ratchet's body is based on his Generation 1 and Animated counterparts, while his head sculpt is based on both his aforementioned Animated and Prime counterparts.
- Ratchet is one of the few characters with a different walking animation. The others are Bludgeon, Ultra Magnus, Soundblaster, Sentinel Prime, Thundercracker, Brawl, Acid Storm, and Drift.
- The list of Transformer medical problems references various concepts within the Transformers franchise:
- "Headmaster Headaches" references Headmasters, a type of Transformers whose head transforms into a smaller being, frequently but not exclusively organic.
- "Energon Eruptions" references Energon, the life source of the Transformer race. The "Eruptions" part may refer to Energon's highly volatile nature.
- "Losing the Instructions So You Can't Change Mode Anymore" refers to the instruction booklet, a real-life object which enables a person to convert a toy's robot mode to vehicle mode and back by referring to the booklet.
