Luke Skywalker, also known as Red Skywalker,[1] is a character that appears in the Angry Birds Star Wars series. He is the son of Darth Vader and Padmé Amidala and he is the brother of Princess Leia Organa. The two siblings are a part of the Rebels along with their friends.[1]
Luke Skywalker was a farmboy born and raised on Tatooine where he was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi to be a Jedi.[1] After some training, Luke Skywalker became a Jedi and he defeated his dad and the Empire with the assistant of the Rebels.
Appearance[]
Luke is a round, limbless bird, mostly covered in red feathers. He has peach hair, eyebrows and belly, as well as three feathers that are his tail. For attire, he used to wear a white kimono with a brown belt that has a silver buckle and a lightsaber holder. When he became a Jedi, he started to wear a black kimono with a black belt and a pocket with a silver button.
When piloting the X-wing Birdfighter, Red wears a Rebel Pilot helmet that has orangeish red sides, a flat round bottom part, a line on top with red sides and a red vertical stripe on it, a red Rebel symbol on the left, a yellow rectangle line end, yellow goggles and a black belt with a white protector.
During his mission on Endor, Red wore a swamp-green helmet with a top part that has flat stripes, a metal side, a green line on the forehead and a swamp green sweater.

Luke appears as the main protagonist in Angry Birds Star Wars. While buying supplies for his farm on Tatooine, Luke bought R2-D2 and C-3PO from some Jawa Birds. The Jawas told him that his sister, Princess Leia Organa, was kidnapped by Darth Vader, and held captive aboard the Death Star.[1] Red then made his way through Tatooine, defeating the hordes of Tusken Raiders attacking him. However, he was later knocked down by some Tusken Raiders. Fortunately, Obi-Wan Kenobi came in and saved him. The duo then went to a cantina, where they met Han Solo and Chewbacca. The group then used the Mighty Falcon to go to outer space. There, they tracked the location of the Death Star and headed straight to it. The heroes were also aided by the Blue Squadron. Aboard the space station, the heroic group saved Leia and then destroyed the Death Star's main reactor, causing a chain reaction that destroyed the whole station.
Sometime later, Luke and his allies would aid in the battle against Darth Vader on Hoth. They would later go to the asteroid field of the planet, having a battle against some Mynhogs and later escaping. The group later went to Cloud City to visit Solo's friend, Lando, only to discover that Darth Vader and his minions were after them. After a battle against Vader, Solo was frozen in carbonite. Luke later had a battle against Vader, who confessed him that he was his father, leaving Luke dumbfounded. Luke would still win the battle however and would later go to Dagobah to get some training from Yoda. After Luke became a Jedi, he was granted the green lightsaber.
A short time later, Luke would go back to Tatooine to save Leia and Solo from Jabba the Hutt. On the Moon of Endor, he and his allies also destroyed one of Darth Vader's bases and managed to track the location of the new Death Star 2. The group managed to weaken the defenses of the station, allowing them to get aboard of it. There, Luke had a battle against Darth Vader and Darth Sidious. In the battle, Vader suddenly had a change of heart and defeated Sidious for good, though this left him severely injured. Luke then took Vader's helmet off, allowing him to see his face for the first time. However, he and his allies escaped the Death Star 2 after a chain reaction that had occurred started to destroy it. Luke and his friends then celebrated the Pork Side's permanent defeat.
In gameplay, Red is first playable in level 1-1 of Tatooine. While initially not having any abilities, when the player gets to 1–8, Red will be able to use his lightsaber to damage enemies. When the player launches Red and taps anywhere onto the screen, he will swing his lightsaber 180 grades once, destroying objects and killing the enemies it touches. Red will also be able to use this ability when he is hit, though the player will only have one second to use it. When completing all levels of Path of the Jedi, Red will receive another ability upgrade, this time replacing his lightsaber with a green, longer one. Not only will Red's lightsaber be much stronger, but it will also have a larger attack radius.
Angry Birds Star Wars II[]
In Angry Birds Star Wars II, while not making any appearance in the story, Red appears as an extra character who can be used as a power-up in any level of the game. In gameplay, he appears as three separate characters: Pilot Luke, Endor Luke and Jedi Luke, all of them being Bird Side characters. They can be obtained by buying them at the shop, at random chance by melting carbonite, or by opening gifts.
In gameplay, all three incarnations of Luke work similarly. When the player launches one of them using the slingshot, they will be able to tap the screen once to make Luke swing his lightsaber, being able to destroy anything and kill any enemy it touches. The difference lies in how many times Luke will swing it: Pilot Luke will only swing it once, Endor Luke twice, and Jedi Luke three times. They can also perform this attack upon colliding with something, though the player will only have one second to use it before they are unable to do so. Like most other characters, each of Luke's incarnations have levels of their own in the Reward Chapter: Pilot's and Endor Luke's respective levels are unlocked when they inflict 100,000 points of damage each, whereas Jedi Luke needs to get 200,000 points to have his level unlocked.

Personality[]
A proud member of the Rebels, Luke is brave and a fast learner. It is also shown that he can get impressed or scared very easily by anything.[2] Regardless, he is still loyal to his superiors.
Powers and abilities[]
Luke has demonstrated to be an expert pilot, being able to drive his own X-wing Birdfighter ship. However, he cannot land these vehicles very well.
Equipment[]
Luke wields the lightsaber, a cold weapon he can use to slice through almost anything and attack his enemies.
Weaknesses[]
Luke is a very clumsy person, as he keeps dropping his lightsaber by accident and often bumps into other people. It has also been shown that he can get distracted quite easily.[1][2]

- Red is based on Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars series.
- In the first game, he has idle voices of his own, but does not have unique idle voices as he shares idle voices with Chuck "Ham" Solo and Obi-Wan Kaboomi, and they share theirs back with him.
