Shockwave is a transformation state that occasionally appears in the mainline Angry Birds series. It is a variation of Bomb, achieved by the combination of electricity and a chemical reaction.
As Shockwave, Bomb appears mostly similar to his normal counterpart. He is mostly the same except for his fuse which, unlike his normal counterpart, is sky blue-colored instead of yellow (pinkish red for the State Farm variant).
Powers and abilities[]
Shockwave's most remarkable ability is him being able to unleash a giant electrical blast that destroys wood and glass, damages stone and defeats all pigs within range.

In the original Angry Birds, Shockwave is a power-up that is first introduced in Tutorial 0-13 (originally in Short Fuse26-1). He can also be used in any other level in the game as long as the player has one. Shockwave can be obtained by buying him in the shop or by random chance at The Mighty League and gifts.
When using Shockwave in a gameplay, the current bird will hop off the slingshot to give way to Shockwave. Shockwave has the same strength as Bomb. In addition, when the player taps the screen or Shockwave collides with an obstacle, he will proceed to unleash a growing circle of electricity that will slightly push away the objects and electrocute the enemies it touches. After this, Shockwave will disappear.

In Angry Birds Seasons, Shockwave returns as a Powerbird, debuting in the Ham Dunk update on October 9, 2014. He can only used once per level. Originally, Shockwave could only be obtained through daily rewards, ads and buying him with real money. The Invasion of the Egg Snatchers update on October 21, 2015, would add the Power-Up Test Site in which Shockwave would appear as a bird on Level 1 and Level 4. He would also appear in all 5 levels in this episode for free. In this update, the chance to buy him with real money was removed, and instead, replaced with a similar method, only costing Bird Coins rather than real money. During the Ham Dunk: All-Star update on February 5, 2015, and Ham Dunk: The Finals update on June 4, 2015, Shockwave would gain an additional red variant in partnership with State Farm. He could also be used for free on Ham Dunk levels during these updates.

Trivia[]
In The Angry Birds Movie, when Bomb explodes and destroys the ramp in Pig City, he unleashes a circle of electricity in a similar fashion to the Shockwave ability.
