Sink or Swim is the fifth episode of Angry Birds Toons Season 2 and the fifty-seventh overall.

It's about time for Red to learn how to swim, but he's too stubborn to accept help from his friends! Can he overcome his pride and channel his inner waterfowl?
Plot[]
At the beach, the birds are having fun swimming, except Red. Despite their requests, he won't join them, so Jay, Jake and Jim push him in, but when he starts floating, he sinks. So Chuck and Bomb come to the rescue. When pushed back onshore, Red decides to leave. Now determined to learn how to swim, he starts with a life-ring. It starts off well, but the others arrive and Bomb decides to dive-bomb into the water. This left Red submerged, with a fish laughing at him. Later, he tries again with a snorkel, but accidentally fills himself up with water in the process, sending him underwater again, with a crab using him as a trampoline. Yet again, he tries again, with an air-tank and a flipper. He trips on the flipper, and a fish takes a photo of him. Red shouts in anger with his typical "Angry Bird" face.
Now convinced he can't swim, Red walks off, but notices that the eggs are missing. He spots them floating across the water, but it turns out the Minion Pigs had stolen them. Now enraged, he miraculously swims across the ocean, beat the pigs up and gets the eggs back. With the birds celebrating, Red jumps back into the ocean, but sinks again, now finding out that he's now a local celebrity with the fish.

Trivia[]
- A gag in the episode is when Red sinks to the bottom of the ocean, the fish laughs at him.
- Usually, Red is seen swimming in Egg's Day Out, but in this episode, he doesn't know how to. A few possible theories are either this episode takes place before Egg's Day Out, Red only swims in dire situations such as the loss of the eggs, or that the waterfall and the lake Red is seen swimming in the aforementioned episode are shallow.
- This is the fifth time that all the first five flock members have appeared together. The first is Off Duty, the second is Run Chuck Run, the third is The Bird That Cried Pig and the fourth is Hiccups.
- This was #15 on Top 20 Angry Birds Toons Fan Favorites.
- Part of the episode was reused for Angry Birds Blast - Have a Blasting summer!: the scene where Red inflates from dropping his snorkel.
- The reason why Red is super furious it's because the Pigs stole the eggs yet again.
- A clip of the episode was reused for an Angry Birds Blast! advert on July 31, 2017.
- This is the first appearance of Red, Matilda and Bomb in Season 2.

- Just like Hide and Seek, this episode forgets the copyright notice slide at the end of the credits.
