Angry Birds Friends[]
In Angry Birds Friends, the Sling Scope is an optional power-up that can be used by the player in any level. It can only be used once per level. The player can obtain it by buying at the shop or by getting rewards. In addition, the Sling Scope can be also used for free in the Star Cup mode if the game chooses it.
When using the Sling Scope in gameplay, a beige and red telescope will appear on top of the slingshot. When the player aims anywhere after using this power-up, a red trail will appear. Said trail will be a basic guide to the area the bird is going to travel, and it will have an unlimited range. However, the trail will not be affected by portals or items.

In the original Angry Birds, the Sling Scope is a power-up that be used by the player in any level. Like in Angry Birds Friends, it can be used only once per level. It can be obtained by buying it at the shop, by opening eggs in The Mighty League, or by watching an ad. It can also be used for free in Tutorial. The Sling Scope has the same properties as in Angry Birds Friends, except that this time, when it is used once, it will be used automatically in the rest of the levels the player plays in the following five minutes. However, the Sling Scope will be disabled automatically in the last level of Daily Challenge.

In Angry Birds Seasons, the Sling Scope returns as one of the powerups from the game. It can be obtained by buying it at the shop or at random chance by popping pigs with gifts. It can also be used for ten minutes after watching an ad. It has the same properties as in Angry Birds Friends.

In Angry Birds Rio, the Sling Scope appears as a power-up. Its icon was replaced to have a marmoset instead of a pig. It can be obtained by buying it at the shop. Also, before the servers of the game closed down in 2020, the player could watch an ad to use the Sling Scope for free in the following five minutes. The Sling Scope can also be used for free in Playground. It has the same properties as in past games, except that its range is now much more limited.
