Smile with Angry Birds[1] was a game proposed to Rovio that would use "Two Smile Interface Implementations".[2] The game would detect the player's face, and begin to change if the player smiled. One proposal had special TNT blocks that would detonate if the player smiled. Another proposed vision-obstructing fog that would dissipate as the player smiled.
This game was first mentioned in the 2018 Nicograph International (NicoInt) textbook by authors Changeun Yang, Yuxuan Jiang, Pujana Paliyawan, Tomohiro Harada, and Ruck Thawonmas.[3] The abstract reads as follows:
This paper proposes two implementations for promoting mental well-being in Angry Birds, one of the most popular mobile games. In the first implementation, fog is introduced for hiding some parts of the game stage, and the player must smile in order to erase fog. In the second implementation, a special TNT is introduced, which can be exploded by the player's smile. We evaluate each of the two implementations by analyzing effects on the player's mental status and game satisfaction.
