South Beach is the first zone in Angry Birds Epic. It is a tropical area and is known for the abundance of tropical items, like seashells, bananas, and water, which can be seen while fighting in the stages. This zone acts as a tutorial for the game.

Cutscenes
King Pig wanted to eat the eggs, then he commanded Prince Porky and Wizpig to steal them. Red and Chuck fought to defend the eggs against the pigs. Amidst the chaos, the Pigs managed to steal the eggs, the Golden Pig Machine, and the Magic Anvil. Wizpig managed to downgrade the two birds before having Chuck be locked away in a cage. Wizpig then placed the first egg on Cobalt Pig Castle.
In this zone, there are four levels, one of which cannot be replayed. For South Beach - 1 and South Beach - 2, the player can only use Red to clear them before Pig Prison. Once the player has access to Chuck, both levels will become harder. Later in the game, once Bomb is recruited, Cornucopia Woods becomes accessible, which must be cleared before Limestone Lagoon can be accessed.
This level can change pigs to all of the pigs encountered at Southern Sea and Limestone Lagoon.
* This is when fighting in the stage for the first time. Pigs encountered will vary when replaying the stage.
