The Square Forest[1] is a location that appears in the Angry Birds series. It is a forest on eastern Piggy Island. Located just north of Pig City, the Square Forest is the Piggy kingdom's main source of wood, specially because the trees in this region are squarish in shape.

Description[]

The Square Forest is a region on eastern Piggy Island, bordering Pig City at the south, the Pumpkin Plateau at the west, and the Red Giant Valley at the north.[2] The forest is notable for having flat-sided trees that give the logs a rectangular shape, hence the name. Its strategic spot and defining characteristc makes it a valuable region of interest for the Piggy kingdom; Minion Pigs are overexploited here all day to cut down the trees, while overseen by a Corporal Pig.[3] It is from here that the regime gathers its wooden building materials. Despite the pigs' labor, they are said to only cut down "a tree an hour".[1]

In Angry Birds Seasons, the Square Forest is the location of the Ham'o'ween episode, released in October 2011.[1] During this chapter's events, the pigs stole the Angry Birds' eggs again and hid in the Square Forest, but the birds chased them there and defeated them, getting their eggs back.

Angry Birds Epic[]

In Angry Birds Epic, the Square Forest is one of the many regions available. The forest contains four levels, three of them having to be beaten to progress in the story. The optional level, the Northern Square Forest, is locked behind a red Pig Gate and leads to the Red Giant Valley if completed. During the game's events, the Angry Birds entered the Square Forest from the Pumpkin Plateau, where they fought hordes of pigs and got just outside of Pig City. However, because the conventional entrance was heavily fortified, the birds resorted to infiltrating it from the Eastern Sea.
