Superion is an Autobird Combiner in Angry Birds Transformers

Appearance

Superion is based on the Generation 1 Combiner of the same name, as well as his Combiner Wars toy. The Aerialbots making up Superion includes Silverbolt, who forms the torso, Air Raid, who forms the left leg, Fireflight, who forms the right arm, Skydive, who forms the right leg, and Slingshot, who forms the left arm.

Personality

Superion was the first Autobird combiner and is dedicated to the destruction of the Deceptihogs, especially his rival Menasor. Equally, Mighty Eagle is a legend of mythical proportions. With his majestic wings, he was the first Autobird to take flight.

He is a combination of the five Aerialbots:

Silverbolt - Torso

Air Raid - Left leg

Fireflight - Right arm

Skydive - Right leg

Slingshot - Left arm

Game appearance

Superion can be unlocked either through Challenge Events for 10000 Tokens, purchasing his bundle for 2000 Gems, or from Gold Crates. During gameplay, Superion's weapon is somewhat similar to Alpha Trion; being able to drag away pigs and blocks. His additional weapon is the exact same weapon, but it can attack anything on its own. His special ability fires four spiraling missiles which automatically targets the first four objects on screen. The missiles can destroy any blocks and can pass through the level's environments.

• Superion's body seems to be based on his Combiner Wars toy.
• The quote "It's a bird... It's a plane, It's Superion!" serves as a double reference:
  • The quote is a direct reference to the introduction of the Adventures of Superman television series, where one civilian mistakes Superman (who was soaring in the sky) for a bird, while another civilian mistakes Superman for a plane.
  • The quote also references Superion himself, as he is both a bird, which is represented by Mighty Eagle, and a plane, which is represented by the Aerialbots.
