Some time in the past, Yoda Bird kept The Egg inside of R2-D2 to prevent the Pork Side from stealing it.[1][2][3]
Angry Birds Star Wars II[]
At some point during the events of Angry Birds Star Wars II, Anakin Skywalker learned of The Egg and its powers. Darth Sidious took advantage of this to lure the bird into joining the Pork Side.[1]

- Based on its role in the first game and how R2-D2 was sent to carry it, The Egg could be a stand-in for the Death Star plans from A New Hope.
- The Egg's role in Angry Birds Star Wars II is similar to how, in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker had visions of his wife dying in childbirth, which resulted in him joining the Trade Federation. These elements were omitted in the adaptation of the film's story in Angry Birds Star Wars II.
