Water is an object that appears in the Angry Birds series. It is a liquid that appears as an obstacle in the games.
Description[]
Water is commonly found in coastal or winter-styled levels. In gameplay, when a character or an object submerges into it, they will start to either float or sink into it, depending on their weight.
Game appearances[]
Angry Birds Seasons[]
Water makes its first appearance in Angry Birds Seasons in the Piglantis episode. It is found in Piglantis, Arctic Eggspedition, Ham Dunk, On Finn Ice, Tropigal Paradise, Invasion of the Egg Snatchers, Ski or Squeal, Pig Days, Fairy Hogmother, Summer Camp, Piggywood Studios, and Ragnahog.
In gameplay, water is occasionally found at the bottom part of the maps, or in small ponds around the level. When a bird falls into the water, they will start to lose some speed and float until they get out of it. In addition, glass, wood and pigs will float in the water as well. On the other side, heavier objects such as stone and metal will sink into it.
Angry Birds Space[]
In Angry Birds Space, water appears in the planets of Pig Dipper and the Earth and Europe levels of Solar System. It has the same properties as those in Angry Birds Seasons.
In gameplay, when a bird falls into the water, they will start to lose some speed and float until they get out of it. However, Space Bomb and The Incredible Terence will sink into it, while Lazer Bird will be unaffected by it when he triggers his ability. Glass, wood and pigs will float in the water, while heavier objects such as stone will sink into it. Meanwhile, the Pig Dipper boss will either float or sink into the water. Also, when Ice Bird triggers his ability while underwater, he will create a small ice asteroid.
Angry Birds Rio[]
In Angry Birds Rio, water appears in High Dive, Blossom River, and Treasure Hunt, with the same characteristics as those in Angry Birds Seasons.
In gameplay, water is found at the bottom part of the level. When a bird falls into the water, they will start to lose some speed and float until they get out of it. In addition, glass and wood will float in the water as well. On the other side, heavier objects such as stone and metal will sink into it. When a Marmoset or a caged bird sinks into the water, they will be defeated instantly.
Angry Birds Star Wars II[]
In Angry Birds Star Wars II, water is seen in the Bird Side version of Naboo Invasion, the Pork Side version of Battle of Naboo and Rise of the Clones, and both versions of Master Your Destiny and Reward Chapter. In the game, it has the same characteristics as those in Angry Birds Seasons.
In gameplay, water is seen in small ponds in some levels of the Bird Side version of Naboo Invasion and Master Your Destiny, at the bottom part of most levels of the Pork Side version of Battle of Naboo, Rise of the Clones and Master Your Destiny, and covering the entire map in all levels of both versions of Reward Chapter. When a character falls into the water, they will start to float until they get out of it. However, certain characters will be unaffected by it when they trigger their ability. Glass and wood will float in the water as well. On the other side, heavier objects such as metal will sink into it. In the Pork Side version of Rise of the Clones, it will also direct the characters and objects that are into it towards the right side of the level, or the left side in the last three levels of the chapter.
Angry Birds Stella[]
In Angry Birds Stella, water returns as a gimmick in Beach Day, with the same characteristics as those in Angry Birds Seasons.
Angry Birds 2[]
In Angry Birds 2, water returns as a recurring gimmick in the game, with the same characteristics as those in Angry Birds Seasons.
Angry Birds Reloaded[]
In Angry Birds Reloaded, water returns as a gimmick in the game, with very similar characteristics as those in Angry Birds Seasons. Notably, Matilda's egg will sink in the water in this game, making strategies involving letting the egg drift in the water impossible.
